expensive but worth it to see the show
Check in was super easy. The honeymoon suite was the only room available. It was nice, but if I was on my honeymoon I wouldn't have been satisfied. For a concert it was great. The walk was no big deal, we saw Sammy Hagar in the outdoor theatre. It only took us a few minutes to walk there. I would recommend the hotel. The price was steep for the room, but Sammy was worth it. We liked the shower so much we're buying one for our bathroom.

If you're a Sammy Hagar fan, the best Tahoe venue to see him in, is the Cabo Wabo cantina, hands down. The outdoor theartre was too large, and the crowd wasn't as nice as the cantina crowd.

uit is expensive
it is an expensive hotel accourding to room size, room comfort and breakfast. they say that their breakfast is number one but there are not much choices and it is not open buffet.

nice getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at tahoe.. the hotel was a block away from the strip.. I really liked that instead of a breakfast buffet like they do at some places they had a restaurant.. the people were really nice and helpful.. the bedrooms are really clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.. I didn't like that the description online says that the rooms have a fireplace and really its not all of the rooms.. overall though I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Stayed for just one night with my two sons. The room was comfortable but could have been bigger. Unlike other reviewers, I had a great experience with the staff. I ended my day early because I tweaked my knee skiing under the gondola in 3 feet of fresh powder. They were extremely helpful. The desk person made sure I had a room with easy access and close to an ice machine. They only had 2 doubles and we would have preferred two queens, but the room would have been tight with two queens. A few nice surprises: the room had a refrigerator, there were two sinks - one in the bath room and one outside, and the heater had a digital thermostat. The room had high speed internet, but it wasn't wireless. Wireless is only available in the lobby. Not a big deal if you have a laptop, but I brought my iPad and needed wireless. The room comes with complimentary breakfast which turned out to be a full sit down breakfast ordered off of the menu. The breakfast was just average and the staff was exceptionally friendly.

Unbeatable location for the price
We went for a xc-skiing week. This motel was very quiet and only about 1 block from the lake. We were a short walk from the casinos so never had to take the car when we wanted to go out on the town. The breakfast restaurant was very nice and excellent food. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. Our room was immaculate and a leaky faucet was repaired immediately one morning while we were at breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved skiing at Spooner Lake @ 17 miles from downtown S. Lake Tahoe. Seniors over 70 ski free and Wednesdays were 1/2 price days for everyone. We skied here 2 days in a row.

Nice but very small room
This was an older motel that's been updated. It is within walking distance of Heavenly Village, the casinos, and the lake. It had a great restaurant where you got your complimentary breakfast---whatever you wanted off of the menu. Since we only stayed one night en route to Yosemite, the tiny room was not a problem. However, it would not be a good choice for an extended stay unless you got a bigger room than we did.
