Cozy spot
Quiet location. Clean rooms with basic comforts. Good value. Bed was very comfortable. Great nights sleep.

needs work
Apex Inn, could use some work. the room was VERY dimley lit, because not all of the lights work. one lamp & the alarm clock only worked when the bed was jiggled. The outside stairway was scary.

Great value, but thermostat broken
Great location and value in South Lake Tahoe. Room was very clean and the staff was friendly. They had free Wi-Fi, HBO, and granola bars. The only bad thing was the thermostat needs to be calibrated. Our room heated up to about 5 degrees warmer than the temperature setting, so some fiddling was required in the middle of the night.

Nice location, very clean
very clean motel, inexpensive and great location nothing fancy, but exactly what we needed, just 15 minutes to ski resort

OK for the money
Basic clean hotel. Good location if you like a quiet place and close to skiing at Sierra-at-Tahoe.

I'd happily stay here again
No bells or whistles, but if you need a cheap night's stay in Tahoe, stay here. BONUS - great pizza across the street!

Frugal cross country ski conservative
Weird
The tiny lobby smelled like old cooking oil and curry. This elderly [...] man had difficulty working the computer and registering us. After 15 minutes he gave me a key to a single bed room and I had paid extra for two beds as I was traveling with my brother to go cross country skiing. I was starting to get mad. When I told him that I paid for two beds he gave me the two bed room after arguing that that was only for four people! Wow,am I in America or what? My heart was beating and I thought I had made a terrible mistake booking this motel. The room was typical and I know there are great deals during the week, so I was worried. We skied for a couple hrs. and I really did not want to go back to that room sober. We bought some beer and food and I prayed the heater would work. Got to the room, no one was staying at the motel so it was really quiet and the heater worked great. Believe it or not I might stay there again because it was so quiet , but only during the week and during the winter.Weird...
