Great Location

We arrived early becuase we were taking a wine tour bus and told the staff we parked our vehicle in the hotel parking lot which they said was not a problem. After the tour we checked in and the room was nice and had a fireplace with wood provided. The bathroom was also nice and the hotel has a "clean" television remote which I had not seen before. The free breakfast was just ok and not much variety. The best thing about the hotel was the location and it is an easy walk to the Sonoma Plaza.

Stumble home from great food and wine tasting

The SV Inn has large rooms and a little pool and hot tub and steam room. It is quiet and very conveniently located a block from the Sonoma Plaza where dozens of wineries have tasting rooms and there are plenty of good restaurants. If you don't want to drive around to the actual wineries, this is the place to stay and also save some money.

comfortable stay, one block from plaza

This is our second stay at this inn/motel and look forward to staying again. Room key comes with free tasting at nearby wineries. After a day of wine tasting, return back, park the car, and walk one block to shops and restaurants at downtown Sonoma plaza. Improved continental breakfast now includes eggs and bacon or sausage. Rooms were bigger than normal and very soundproof. I was impressed with getting 4 pillows on the bed instead of the usual two.

sonoma weekend

Going through discounted site we only had a choice of lower and upper corner rooms. The rooms were good size and had no view or partial view. The first morning we were woken up around 6am with the people above us stomping around for an entire hour. We went to the front desk and they had another room for us upstairs still no view but much better with sound. The breakfast was pretty good for continental. The hotel is in great walking distance to the town square and restaurants. We would probably go back there again.

Off season success

We used the SVI as our central stay for several trips to Sonoma Valley, Napa Valley and the Russian River Valley. Rooms were very nice, breakfast was light but enough to start the day. Staff very friendly and informative.
