Excelent hotel
Our stay with the hotel was very short, only one night and we did not try the complimentary breakfast. It was very enjoyable though, having an electric fireplace was very nice. WiFi worked fine. The room was large nice looking and had everything we needed. My only complain is that our room was a little close to the road and there was a lot of noise from the road. Also we had quite noisy neighbors, but I guess this is not hotel's fault. If our room had better noise isolation I would give 5 stars.

Really nice place.
The hotel was really nice; room decor beautiful with comfortable beds & upscale bedding. Free breakfast plus wine & cheese were great! Only downside was traffic noise from road. Not unbearable, however.

So nice the kids even noticed
We were there for personal business and Hadsten House worked perfect. They have the best complimentary breakfast ever! The restaurant was great. A full bar would have been the only thing to add. This will be a winter spot to return to with the indoor pool, outdoor fireplaces and spa. It also has great access to Solvang as well.

Quaint in a trendy French way
[...] This is a little gem! What a surprise. Years ago I stayed here and was not impressed. This hotel has been thoroughly remodeled and it is surprisingly adorable. I love the French decor, everything well thought out and comfortable. The old fashioned phone next to the modern flat screen, how did you pull that off so perfectly? Lovely spot for a romantic getaway and not too expensive for the traveling salesperson. Can't wait to see what I have in store for breakfast...I don't think I will be disappointed! Bon nuit!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!!
WE ARRIVED AT THE HOTEL FROM SAN FRANSISCO, ABOUT A 5 HOUR DRIVE. WE WENT TO THE FRONT DESK WHERE WE HAD TO SPEAK TO A RUDE GIRL.. OUR ROOM WAS NOT READY YET AT 2PM SO I ASKED HER FOR A PLACE TO CHANGE MY 1 YEAR OLD BABY, THEY DID NOT HAVE A CHANGING TABLE THE ONLY BATHROOM WAS IN THE SMALL RESTURANT I HAD TO CHANGE HER ON TOP OF A WOODEN CUPBOARD!!! NOT VERY SANITARY! WE THEN WERE TOLD OUR ROOM WOULD BE READY IN 15 MINUTES, WE DIDNT RETURN UNTILL AN HOUR LATER @ 3:30PM OUR ROOM WAS STILL NOT READY THE GIRL WAS REALY RUDE ABOUT IT AND TOLD US THEY HAD A DRUNK WEDDING PARTY WHO THREW UP ON THE FLOOR!!I MADE THEM CANCEL MY RESERVATION I DID NOT WANT MY BABY CRAWLING ON A DIRTY FLOOR.. THEY HAD NO OTHER ROOMS TO OFFER ME!!!THE PRICES OF THE ROOMS ARE VERY HIGH PRICED FOR THE ROOM AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE YOU GET!!! (BEWARE DO NOT TRY THIS TACKY HOTEL) NOT CHILD FRIENDLY AT ALL!!

Renovated & Improved
This hotel has been beautifully renovated since my previous stays over the years. The wine and cheese reception was a great bonus along with the outstanding breakfast buffet. The pool and hot tub area were also very nice. A great spot in Solvang. Highly recommended.

What wine-soaked heads dream of
After spending the day traversing the winding roads of the Santa Ynez Valley, responsibly enjoying the fruits of the land, the Hadsten House was exactly what we needed. Shortly after our arrival, we hit the pool and jacuzzi, which peeled off the last layer of stress lingering from our departure from LA. The staff were awesome, the room clean, and the breakfast free. Can't beat that!

Leave the car in the hotel parking lot and stroll into the charming town of Solvang. You'll find the cheesey, and you'll find the cheese. Enjoy.
