Pretty Setting, OLD Hotel

You can see that at one time, this was a nice hotel. Beautiful outdoor stonework. Inside, they are in trouble. Carpets fraying, and faded from time. In the bathroom, the fixtures are old, and there is extreme dust on the pipes. I touched the blanket when we got to the room, and it was HARD from old age- gross! It is so close to the Simi Valley Town Center, where we go for business, but we will not stay here again.

A "3 Star Resort" Really??

Lobby area is nice, however the rooms were very dated. The garbage can had a box of used Trojans still in it. They moved our room and gave us a quick breakfast coupon. Then we accidently selected to rent a movie ( the words on the remote buttons were worn off- so we couldn't figure out which button was the "back" button. We called the front desk and they said that they would remove the charge. The next morning, the charge was still there. They were gratious in removing it afterall. We probably won't be back.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. At 1st had no interest in going to it, but got lost one night and saw the library from the west side on the mountain. Just the view of it (then seeing the old Air Force One in this building, on top of a mountain). I just wanted to see one of the last 707.
