Great value for the money. Just as good as hotels that cost 50% more.

Not what described

While the aminities in the room were all there, nothing was plugged in or ready to go. After nearly 12 hours of driving with a group of teenagers, a nice stay in a quiet room for a few hours but I had to take time to find plugs to plug in everything from the clock to the frige. It took less time to walk down to Del Taco on the corner.

Perfect for what we needed.

Had a Wedding in town, and this was the cheapest hotel in the area. Hotel was nice. Rooms had a fridge and microwave in them. We did'nt use them, but it was nice that they were available. We only used the room to get ready in and sleep in, so we werent at the Hotel Much. Great Price. We even got a Price Assurance Back. It Really Works WOW!

You get what you pay for, but it's time to update that

While you can't beat the price, it's time to update the meaning behind the adage "you get what you pay for". Yes, what you need is a clean bed and a shower for a night. But that's the default--all hotels should offer that. The Grand Vista Hotel (and many places like it) still has CRT TVs with a Nintendo 64 attached, and nothing free to watch. And while they offer free wireless Internet access, the connection speed makes one long for the good old days of a lightning-quick 14.4 kbps dial-up modem.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. At 1st had no interest in going to it, but got lost one night and saw the library from the west side on the mountain. Just the view of it (then seeing the old Air Force One in this building, on top of a mountain). I just wanted to see one of the last 707.

Good facilities but sordid in detail

This should have been an excellent value, but it wasn't. The "non-smoking room" was so saturated with cigarette smoke that even an uncomplaining stoic insisted on a change. The new "non-smoking" room smelled only faintly of smoke, so OK. The A/C was loud and the WiFi wasn't functional, but luckily they also had Ethernet so there was internet, late 20th century style. There was syrupy music outside the lobby, to keep the smokers happy. If you're fastidious, this is not the hotel for you

Pretty good

Everything was fine the only problem was that I found an old coffee filter from the last people that stayed there hadn't been cleaned out.
