This was a temporary overnight stay until the following day when we would go to the heart of Monterey. The location was great but every thing else was mediocre. Parking was limited. They do provide a small fridge and microwave which is convenient.
I probably wouldn't stay again but it wasn't bad for the price.
Perfect setting for anyone who want / demands great value without the overpriced frills! Ten minute walk to the Ocean and plenty of shopping areas nearby for any last minute needs.
Great home base to explore this beautiful area of the central coast.
Although from the outside this little hotel doesn't look like much, on the inside it was very clean and well taken care of. It has all the modern amenities and the staff were very nice. I travel several times a month to Monterey and will
definitely stay here again.
There is not much good to say of this motel. It was in a poor location, had some unsavory looking guests
staying there, the parking situation was atrocious and the room was very undesirable. The room did not have enough towels, was dirty, did not
have tissue, was short toilet paper and generally not very pleasant.
The price for the room was around $100 for two queen
beds, when there are better locations than this available. I would not recommend this to anyone other
than street people who seem to be staying there. This is not a safe place to stay.
The hair dryer had to be requested at the front desk. The parking is very compact, particularly if you are not able to park under the center overhang. The room is ether freezing or hot like a sauna - I would suggest adding a thermostat to maintain
a constant temperature, otherwise you will need to get out of bed multiple times at night to turn the heater on and off.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
If you are looking for great seafood, eat in Monterey somewhere near the aquarium or at one of the places on 17 mile drive/pebble beach.
