Motel 6 Santa Rosa North CA

Clean and simple, I would stay here again. Location is good, rooms were clean enough, and the price is right.

It's been a very long time since I have stayed at a motel 6. The carpet was incredibly dirty. Gave me the creeps. The smell was of chemicals. Couldn't wait to leave. It was the only room left in Santa Rosa. I know why.

This was a great location for what i was doing! The staff was nice and it seemed safe to walk.

The only thing pleasant about this motel stay was reserving the room with Orbitz. That was simple and took hardly any time at all. The motel itself was one of the dirtiest, dumpiest motels I've ever seen. The carpet had stains throughout, one huge one as the door. The sheets were so wrinkled, we didn't know if someone had already slept on them. The frame of the bed had not been cleaned in months, pieces of tortilla chips and crud in the frame that held the mattress. I put a towel down in the shower because I didn't want to stand on the rubber mat. There was no coffee pot, no microwave, no little frig.

My non-smoking room wreaked of smoke. Front desk promised to spray while I was out but there was no detectable difference when I returned. Mattresses need to be upgraded.

Received email confirmation that check-in was at 2pm. Arrived at 2:30pm, and staff said room wouldn't be available until 3pm. Finally got a room, which REAKED of smoke (had to send my entire suitcase full of clothes to the cleaners). Room had NO dresser or closet space. Handicap accessible bathroom had no enclosed shower tub, so water got all over the floor. Water got all over everything else since there were no shelves in the bathroom either. Yes, we had to put our toiletries on the floor!

Online it said that check-in was anytime after 2pm and check-out was by noon. We arrived at 2:45pm and wanted to put our stuff in the room so we could freshen up and then go wine tasting at some of the local wineries. We were told our room was not cleaned yet, so we waited about 10 minutes and then asked again. We were then told that the "cleaning staff" was on lunch and we had to wait. Only after we threatened to leave and go to another hotel did they actually clean our room and let us in. Why would they tell us to check-in after 2pm if our room wasn't ready? Bad customer service! You also had to pay extra for the mini bottles of shampoo.

Good value. Clean, simple, safe. I left early and got back late, so I just needed a no-frills room. I had a perfect day hiking at Pt Reyes. And the perfect breakfast at the Tea Room in Petaluma.

I checked in very late in the evening. When I walked up there were many people in the lobby and a security guard was filling out paper work.

My daughter and I went to Calistoga for the day and wanted to go to Bodoga Bay the next day. A friend suggested we stay in Santa Rosa overnight. Motel 6 provided us with an inexpensive, no-frills room within our budget. It was basic, but it was clean and the staff was courteous.
