The well designed lobby led directly to a lovely pool and outdoor seating area. The room was comfortable, the staff helpful, and the peek a boo balcony. The location is unbeatable, I believe.

Trip for 2
The Viceroy is a beautiful hotel only steps away from the beach. All the staff was super friendly and the service was exceptional. Downside, it's a super noisy hotel, we had to change rooms three times. Rooms facing the pool were loud due to parties they throw until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. Then we were placed near the elevator and the whole room would vibrate. Last room was facing the ocean...views were great but the street noise and neighboring rooms were really loud. If you like to party, it's the place to go but if you want a quite stay in Santa Monica, this hotel may not be for you....

Short walk from hotel
Definitely rent a car from Midway rentals which is just across the street from the Viceroy. We drove up the PCH and went to Malibu which is a 20 minute drive, shipping is great and the scenery is beautiful.

This is definitely a great hotel in Santa Monica. Walking distance to the pier and many restaurants. Valet and front desk were all very nice and we were able to get a late checkout. Pool area, although great, is a bit small and can get crowded.

We had Sunday brunch at The Penthouse in the Huntley Hotel and highly recommend. The view is worth it alone!

Great base for LA and beaches
We stayed for three nights and met friends who also stayed here. Overall, a really nice vibe. The pool was a little small, but the room was quiet and well appointed.

Viceroy Santa Monica Rocks!
Fantastic hotel! Room was clean and quiet. The hotel bar has happy hour nightly and gets quite a crowd in the evenings of both locals and tourists. The steamed mussels were delicious and the sangria quite yummie. Easy walk to Third Street, Pier, Main Street and Beach. Highly recommend Cha Cha Chicken- on the corner of Ocean Avenue. This place has local flair and delicious food. Go before or after prime lunch hour because it gets a long line. Also the Sunday farmers market on Main Street is more than just veggies/clothing- they have vendors making breakfast. Grab a homemade roll or a breakfast burrito made from organic eggs. Delicious and budget friendly.

Viceroy Santa Monica
Stayed here for a few days with friends. (We are in our late twenties) The hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated. It had a nice lounge and cute outside, although a bit shady.We were surprised that internet service was not free considering the price of they stay.The hotel is right by the beach, a very quick walk. Overall, the people and area were a bit stuffy. This is a great hotel for business and older clientele.

business. lobby bar and restaurant are like a noisy nightclub in the evenings but also close early. i would have preferred a more quiet atmosphere.

Great time at the Viceroy Santa Monica
We stayed at the Viceroy over Spring break with our 2 kids (1 teenager, and 1 pre-teen). All of us had a great time. The staff were very attentive and warm to the kids.
