New Years Eve celebration

A bit expensive but a wonderful stay and a festive atmosphere. We loved it ! (there was a wedding that night so valet parking was a bit messy)

Check In Delay

Had to wait 2.5 hours to check in when my reservation stated 1:00pm check in time. Was told because previous people wouldn't leave their room or check out and I should call ahead next time? Why is this my problem if the hotel has stated I could check in at 1:00pm? How does "calling ahead" work if I'm driving from a 2 hour distance? Not 5 star treatment.

Great location, Wonderful Staff

My fiance and I spent May's last weekend at Fairmont Miramar Hotel. The hotel's location is simply excellent. About three minutes walk from the famous 3rd st promenade with nice restaurants stors and awsome nightlife. The hotel is not new, but it's kept very clean. It's staff are also very nice and friendly. I will come back and stay there again for sure.

Great time, weather permitting

My girlfriend and I stayed three nights at the Fairmont over a long weekend. We had a bungalow which was excellent an received a god price [...]Both the lobby cafe and full service restaurant were outstading an the overall level of service was top notch. I will say that the valet parking service left something to be desired -- they were slow and seemed confused to a point bordering on incompetence. The hotel is also focused on its outdor grounds so is somewhat weather dependent.

All I had hoped ...

Simply perfect, from the service as you enter the hotel - everyone, from the bell hops to the front desk to the maids - seemed genuinely friendly - to the room (we had a deluxe ocean view, and I never tired of stepping out on the balcony and gazing at the ocean) .. and perfect location if you simply want to enjoy Santa Monica by strolling down the Third Street Promenade or along the beach to the pier ... perfect ...
