Getaway

Hotel was OK,nothing special.Good location,Staff was ok Nothing said about parking charges $20.00 when booking room.Has sister hotel down the street (new) looks nice.OK for quick getaway.

Trip to Santa Monica

Excellent location, across the street from the ocean and the pier. The rooms are small, no special amenities, and no breakfast at the location.

Average hotel in a perfect location

Overall this hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Santa Monica is more expensive than some of the other beaches but it's a fabulous town, and it was great to be able to stay there. The hotel is clean, friendly staff, no complaints at all to mention. Tiny bit dated but you're right next to the beach and pier with great shops and bars on your doorstep.

Not cheap, great location

Rooms were more two star quality Couldn't get on the wireless Internet Registered for king, got two doubles They wouldn't give me a king Location is amazing

Basic, clean and location, location

Pleasant breezy hotel with lots of parking, currently. $20 overnight. Think my room card got zapped before check-out so a friendly staff member let me in. Ocean view rooms probably better for street noise on the upper levels, we were just above street level, which is fun if you like to people watch. The hotel is centered between the Pier and Wilshire Blvd. Most of Santa Monica shopping and restaurants are in walking distance. Our kids enjoyed the balcony and the grassy park areas above the beach. The beach is long and down some stairs and there's a handy foot bridge arching over PCH here. The hotel recommended a child friendly restaurant. Negatives were small beds and narrow hallways. And spotty wifi; in fact I could not get internet service Friday night. But the rooms didn't feel cramped at all, and often felt roomy.

Clean and practical hotel

This hotel is ok for a cheap stay in Santa Monica, The room was clean and the hotel was well located but if you are looking for smth fancy don't stay there ! Parking is a bit expensive.

The walls are thin.

Just hope you have a room that is not next to someone with small children running around. The wall are thin and you can hear everything.

beach view??

As far a beach view goes if you count a view of the other buildings and parking lot beach view then here you go. upon check in I was informed there was a parking fee seems too much for a registered guess but fine but then mistakingly charge my card for hundreds even though it was for a prepaid room!!! and then just say sorry it should be reimbursed in a few days really! ! they should seriously get it together for a not cheap hotel.
