Good Location
This hotel is the perfect location for shopping and hitting the Santa Monica Pier. Walking distance to the thrid street promenade, Santa Monica Place and Main Street. Driving distance to Malibu, Hollywood and Venice. I enjoyed the stay but request a room on the opposite side of the hotel as Colorado Av as it is extremely noisy. If you dirve or rent a car, make sure it's small because the entrance is not easy to navigate off of Colorado and the garage is under the hotel so just be careful. The staff was excellent and very friendly.

Johnny Rockets at the Thrid Street Promenade was the friendlilest place to sit and have a burger and beer. I know Johnny Rockets are everywhere but this one had it all together.

Fantastic Experience, why it's my favorite L.A. Hotel
The Holiday Inn Santa Monica is my favorite Los Angeles area hotel. It's in a perfect location for getting around the West Side. The amenities aren't over the top for a business traveler like myself. There's internet, great service, and the staff are super friendly. It's also affordable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Exceeded expectations
I never write reviews, but I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The location is perfect; the rooms are luxurious; and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. It's rare that I can say: I had no complaints! Parking is pricey, but I imagine it is everywhere in Santa Monica. Great value!

It was nice but,Ive now learned always ask what the parking fee's are gonna be because it's expensive and feels like a hidden charge. I'd stay there again

We were walked to this hotel due to another (more upscale hotel) being oversold, so we were pretty disappointed. The room was adequate and clean. In-room amenities included 4 large beach towels and 2 robes, so that was an unexpected surprise. The property is close to the pier and beach so that's another bonus.

Family traveler
On the Beach
We picked this hotel because it was so close to Santa Monica pier. You can't beat the location to the beach, just a short walk and you're on the pier or the beach. The price was reasonable considering the location. The room was clean. Only problem was road noise. We had a 2nd floor room on the Colorado Ave side and the bus and truck traffic was loud. The other side may be quieter, but the Santa Monica freeway is on that side. Overall, great location, clean hotel, I would stay there again.

great location
I've stayed here a few times and the location is hard to beat as it is just one block off of the beach and pier. The hotel is better than your average Holiday Inn, but it is a Holiday Inn and elevators and rooms are small. Backs up to Highway so be prepared to have traffic noise. On the other side of the highway is an unfortunate parking lot, that is being replaced soon with a large grassy park. That's nice.

Fun in the sun
Easy,quick check in. Friendly staff,clean rooms worth the money for a last minute weekend for some fun in the sun. Although this is located close to the freeway it is actually fairly quiet.

Gr8 hotel w/ocean view in SM!
I just loved this hotel & so did my kids (ages 6 and 8). Had a lovely ocean view and the price is quite reasonable.
