The Bayside Hotel is a charming - cozy and highly spirited oasis by the beach. Michael D's Diner is just 3 blacks from the hotel and serves breakfast all day. So if you had a late night enjoying Santa Monica's night life - not to worry because you will always be able to get a breakfast bagel and a cup of hot coffee right at Mike's.
Urth Cafe
All organic, all fresh - all very, very yummy! Located a few blocks south of us on Main Street, this place is always busy but well worth the wait!

WINDOW AIR UNIT ROOM FOR $150 A NIGHT

First off the [*] that checked us in was the rudest person I've ever dealt with( and I own a business, Im used to the public).We ask him were the rental car return place was and he said" not anywhere around here" .This dated hotel was clean, but for $150+ a night, I expect a real air unit not a 1970's window unit. The room never cooled off.

Nice family getaway

Front desk [...] very nice, polite, helpful. Hotel staff was very accomadating. Garden View is a calm, quiet, virtual oasis. California sea breeze gently blows through your hotel room. Hotel is in between Venice and Santa Monica. Just a short stroll from the hotel to the ocean.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Cha Cha chicken just down the street. Try thier Coconut chicken and the chicken enchilada. Bring your own alchohol they do not sell in the restaurant.

Convenient but needs upgrading

Very convenient to the beach. Small room size, poor parking facilities. High cost for quality of motel.
