Great starting point for our family's California Trip
We came in to LA from Philadelphia late in the day, got our luggage and our rental car and drove less then 15 minutes from LAX to this wonderful hotel. Free, secure parking on site. We checked in, dropped our bags in our room and walked two short blocks to Wiltshire Blvd to a GREAT sushi bar the desk clerk told us about. After our dinner we stretched our legs with a short walk down the boulevard to Whole Foods where we stocked up on healthy snacks and treats for our 1800 mile drive through California.

Acceptable but not glamorous
Arrived quite late and left early, but slept well in the interim; for its location, right on Santa Monica Blvd., our room was quiet. The lobby is more functional than beautiful, but the staff (both AM and PM) were very efficient and friendly. The room was clean, there were sufficient towels and toiletries and ample hot water. All in all, for a stay like ours (where you only need a place to sleep) it's perfectly acceptable.

WOW! Great Hotel!
The hotel is situated perfectly to all things a tourist would like to do and see in Santa Monica. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the bed was comfortable. I was really impressed with the double window to keep out the street noise! Without question, I would stay here again.

Santa Monica beach, Third Street Promenade and great restaurants are a short walk from the hotel. Just park your car at the hotel and you are set for a perfect weekend!

Very Mediocre
My wife and I stayed here for just one night on our wknd trip to Santa Monica and Malibu. Here is our impression of the place: - room was clean and comfortable, if just a bit small - location isn't great if you want restaurants or beach. These are short drive away. - Parking was included in the rate. Very good. - COMPLAINT: walls were very thin and 1) the family next to us had young children and 2) we heard loud talking early in the morning by what appeared to be janitorial staff. We talked to mgmt about this but they shrugged it aside without offering to help - COMPLAINT: Customer service is poor. The front desk was really unwilling to help us deal with the noise issue or finding a new room. Overall, it was an ok place but if we went back to the area, we would not stay here again.

Great hotel in a great neighborhood
This hotel is clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel provides shuttle service to shopping and the beach - couldn't be better! Also bus service is less than 1/2 block away which is also very handy. Nice to have the IHOP right on the premises since sometimes you don't have time to eat while touring and it's nice to be able to grab a bite before retiring for the evening.

It was quite a long walk to shopping and the beach, but the hotel shuttle was the best!
