Nice place a bit dated rooms but wifi was great!

We went to visit family in Santa Maria and decided to rent a hotel this time. This place was nice because it was close to their home. We stayed in the tower on the 4th floor. The hallway to our hotel room smelled like glue or paint. The room was big with a nice flatscreen. The room was dated a bit and the mini fridge was a bit loud. I did like the free wifi which worked great in our room as I'm an IT Pro and needed to get some work done at night. Also streamed a netflix movie without a problem. I will be back.

Very nice quaint old inn

I like the Santa Maria Inn. It is old and has alot of character. The rooms are comfortable and even in the historic wing are sufficiently up to date. The beds are wonderful and the bathroom and separate dressing area was nice. The lounge is fun and the restauarant is likewise a nice place to have a meal.

great spot!

this place is very nice! The only drawback was the gift shop- it really really SUCKS> This was more like an antique dish store rather than your typical gift shop. I was expecting some really cool souvenirs maybe some shirts, etc. Nope- NOTHING. Anyways, we had an upgraded room- it was great. The windows were a little "thin" though....the bar and the restaurant were OFF the hook- and the staff was BEYOND exceptional!!!! Hightly HIGHLY recommended!!!!!

Nclex test taker

I stayed in this hotel the night before I had to go to pearson vue site to take my nursing boards which was literally a 3 minute walk away from the hotel. Check in time took a little longer than I liked because they had one person at the desk but after taking advantage of the amazing amenities offered at the hotel I was completely relaxed and prepared for the a life changing test. If you are a new grad nurse about to take boards I highly recommend the Historic Santa Maria Inn. I will definitely be coming back just for the relaxation I received.

Shopping tip: In Hotel

Barber, hair salon, gift shop, others on site - but do not seem to keep regular scheduled hours. i.e.- Barber sign said closed but it wasn't. Hair salon locked up 2 hours before posted closing time.
