Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Drive & spend some time in Los Almos. Great places to eat or taste wine. Beautiful church & a fantastic garden centre. Much more authentic than Solvang.

Repeatedly pleasant stays over 14 months

While on business, I recently stayed here twice a month (Monday through Thursday) for 14 consecutive months. During all of my visits, the management and staff maintained a high degree of professionalism and courtesy. My room was always clean and quiet, and all towels and supplies were properly stocked. My room was nicely cleaned every day and I never had to worry about the hotel service after returning from a day of work. I also saved considerable time and money eating breakfast in the deluxe continental breakfast area. There is a wide variety of food to choose from in a pleasant surrounding. After being a guest of the hotel approximately 25 times, I feel I can comment pretty authoritatively on the hotel and its general operation, and it's very good. I've always had a pleasant experience here. The management care about their guests and I plan on staying there again later this year when my business will take me back there. If they weren't consistently good, believe me, after staying there for 14 months, I would quickly have noticed. Well done and thanks Big America! See you again in a couple of months.

Scary

Arrived about 6pm and the night staff just gave me the room card, didn't say anything. We needed to eat so we looked at the menu in the room and walked next door. Empty restaurant but we went in. Food was cold, yes, cold chile relleno, terrible. Motel needed to update the atmosphere and welcome. It was scary. Pool was close, spa covered. Really felt like I paid too much (on-line) and no one cared that we were there.

Sufficient

I was there for only one night to watch a baseball tournament. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. Very basic, but sufficient for my needs. There's nothing fantastic about it, but nothing horrible either.

New building with big clean rooms.

The room looks quite new. Big clean bathroom. Clean and fresh bed. Big LCD TV and free internet. Refrigerator, wet bar, and a desk! Easy access, close to Hwy 101, yet in a quiet block. Free breakfast with lots of selections, including fresh warm waffles!

Cold Shower

The room was great. Roomy and comfortable. Bathroom was the biggest I've ever had. Lots of counter space. All seemed great until it came time for morning showers. Ice cold water. Front desk didn't seem too concerned when I called and complained. 15 minutes later housekeeping knoecked at the door and asked if it was cold in the sink and shower or just the shower. Never heard back from anybody after that. Front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, nobody. Needed to get on the road, so took cold showers. Went to get breakfast and found it very picked over with little selection. They were not keeping it replenished. Very disappointed. Ate our brought from home granola bars in the car. Visit started out great. Ended in great disappointment.
