Ramada Limited Santa Cruz

My wife got sick from the smell coming out of the fridge. The water worked off and on, we had to change all the bedding when we got there ( unidentified stain ), lot of dust on surface areas and the management walked around in there pj's half the day.. and I think the management pointed us out to the cleaning staff because we had mentioned that the room wasn't very clean.. then location was nice, very close to all attractions. We witnessed a few unsavory transactions and someone left bottles of booze when they left and no staff members removed them the whole wekend..The guy who checked us in with the Justin Beiber hair was cool and very helpful but sorry to say that was it..you could say you get what you pay for but I paid over 240 dollars, to me that's a lot of money.. oh yeah all the soda and water machines were sold out all weekend and the water quality in the room was nasty so we had to walk to the local store for that

Older hotel, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was a hotel breakfast - alot of waiting, staff was not true to their word, pool was ok - no towels, no lights, worse thing was someone had gotten sick on the downstairs walk way and staff had to be told twice before it was cleaned up. I wouldn't stay here again. When you make reservations you expect to receive what you reserved, was not the case here.

The good: - Late check in was a breeze - Non-smoking is on the bottom floor - Room included microwave and fridge The Meh: - Everything in the room had a grubby sorta greasy feel about it - like the lightswitches, hairdryer and remote felt like someone wiped everything down with a greasy rag or something - My key card wouldn't work twice and it took the staff forever to attend the front desk to get help about it - The parking lot configuration is the pits. If they ripped out the outdoor pool then it would improve parking circulation dramatically but otherwise it's nearly impossible to back in and out reasonably in the parking lot - The overall lighting in the room felt really dark and cave-like

The room was tiny and the bathroom difficult to turn around in. The oversized chairs blocked us from moving around the small space, and the lighting made the room even darker and claustraphobic. Although we had a two night reservation, we left after the first night. The room furnishings were dirty, The cost was outrageous for the accommodations. We left after only one night and lost our second night's room rental, as well as the cost of a second room we had booked four our daughter.

This is just what I was looking for. A relatively inexpensive motel with clean rooms, and cordial staff. Not much desk space in the rooms, but functional.

While located next to an auto repair shop, it was quiet. The room appeared clean, until you see the DIRTY comforter, only sat on the sheets. The bathroom was clean. The room was a bit dated, but I saw new flat screens being installed in some of the rooms.Lead me to believe management was working on bring the rooms up-to-date. I hope that includes new comforters for future guests. Staff was terrific. I encountered a family emergency and had to cancel one night. Management was terrific in this aspect in cancelling and crediting my account. Keep up the upgrades and get new (or wash) the comforters and this would be a great stop while in Santa Cruz.

I think we were there during a race or something as the rack rate was nearly $250 a night. The room was clean, orderly and you can tell they changed the bedding to upgrade some. We don't stay in our hotel room when in Santa Cruz so it was just the ticket otherwise. Good central location.

The phone wasn't working and they were not able to fix it, so every time I needed something I had to walk all the way to the office, and I didn't appreciate that. The room to have breakfast fast too small, and there were too many people, thus it was uncomfortable. There were very few channels to choose from making the night really boring considering the city was very cold to go out.

The price for the night for our daughter's graduation was out of line!

The property is very old and needs to be updated. The room was clean but worn. There were quite a few homeless people in the area.
