The Paradise Inn by the Beach in Santa Cruz is a boutique property situated 100 yards from the Santa Cruz Railroad Station and Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk. San Jose International Airport is 25 miles away. Guests enjoy the California sunshine while swimming in the un-heated seasonal pool. This two-story property has 25 guest rooms with complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access. Microwave ovens and refrigerators in all rooms. Pets need to be declared at check-in with fees due upon check-in. Other hotel amenities include complimentary continental breakfast after Memorial Day, complimentary coffee in the lobby and 24-hour front desk services. Paradise Inn would like to offer you a free glass of wine. Free Wine and Champagne tasting; hours, 12 to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. So-So

Room was clean for the most part, but maintenence wasn't kept up on it. The bathroom didn't even have a switch to turn it from the faucet to the shower head and the room smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room.

Basics in Santa Cruz

Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The area around the hotel seems to have a strong criminal element and issues with theft. The hotel is nicely situated next to the wharf and is listed as a 3-star hotel but is nowhere near a 2-star rating....not even close [...]

Know what your getting

Rented a room for four people but the room only had 3 towels?? 2 packets of shampoo? Serious concerns for the cleanliness of the beds.
