Basic budget motel one mile to beach in Santa Cruz
Oceana Inn Santa Cruz is just one mile to the shore of the Pacific Ocean in Santa Cruz, California. great for the price
the oceana inn was a great stay, perfect location, doesnt get any better then 2 blocks to downtown and less then a mile to the beach. friendly staff, great heated pool, little breakfast in the morning and clean room which is hard to find now a days.

Poor location
The Travelodge in Santa Cruz was adequate for a one-night stop on the way between the Bay Area and Los Angeles. We had difficulty finding the hotel despite having a map. Restaurants were not within walking distance. The pool is not open during the winter months. The room we had also had noise from the busy street outside. It was a better stop than in other cities along the 101 route but we would not stay at this hotel again.

UC Santa Cruz is beautiful and close to the motel. The area seemed quite safe but it was necessary to drive to a restaurant. The hotel staff was very unhelpful when we had difficulty finding the hotel.

Nice hotel
Nice rooms, little outdated. Location was good, about 20 minute walk to boardwalk. Close to downtown walkable. Staff was nice and helpful

decent value and location
Located fairly close to the Boardwalk, which is the main reason I picked Travelodge. We got a smoking room which included a mini-fridge. Two extras we enjoyed. Decent place to stay for the money.

Overall acceptable, but hardly any pleasant surprises. Could not convince the fridge to work, and the bathroom door needed some negotiation. The stench of disinfectant required sleeping with the window open.

Affordable hotel,friendly service
We were in Santa Cruz to check out the Mystry Spot.It was quite an experience, but didn't care much for the rest of the city.Our stay at Travelodge was good.Nothing over the top, but met our needs.Good service, clean rooms and bathroom and complimentary breakfast.

Downtown Santa Cruz was a short drive from the hotel.But then everything is.We dined at the Yan Flower restaraunt.Good food, great prices.The Mystery Spot was a winner during our trip.

There was nothing really wrong with the room or hotel it self. "We got what we paid for. Which was a very in-expensive room." Overall all it was quite, no complains.
