Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SANTA CRUZ

I had a horrible experience at this hotel. Let me say, there are a few good things. The hotel seems newer, seems they are keeping the facility nice, and the showers are great (I rarely like the showers in a hotel). Okay, what went wrong then? The hotel rented out a few dozen rooms to some jr high field trip group. Instead of putting all these kids together (you'd think that'd be a good idea) they intermixed them throughout the hotel. The kids were running up and down the hall, banging on people's doors, and causing problems. I called the front desk multiple times, each time saying they would "regulate" or "take care of it" but they didn't. Nobody was in control of the situation and nobody did anything about it all. I barely got any sleep because of this and worst of all, the hotel didn't even apologize. When I would call the front desk the clerk would say "are they doing it again?" and then tell me he was going to take care of it. You know a little something along the lines of "we are very sorry this is happening" would have gone a long way.

We stayed here just to have a night out, no particular event. I guess the room rate varies depending on the events occurring in the town, but on the whole it was a great place, very comfortable and nice services (like internet and breakfast).

This hotel was awesome! It had everything we needed. The breakfast was great! I will never stay at another hotel.

Quiet for sleeping. Good location. Free parking. I recommend this hotel.

We had a pleasant stay. The staff was friendly, the room clean.

Part of our group was staying across from Boardwalk. My wife and I (middle age wanted something a little quieter and newer. This hotel was perfectly suited for us. We woke up, worked out in the gym and had a great breakfast (included) each morning. The rooms were adequate and the hotel staff accomodating.

The shower had mold and the bed headboard had something dried on them. The mattresses were uncomfortable.

Very nice hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Check in was fast. The only drawbacks are that the first level rooms are right next to the pool and the underground parking spaces are extremely small...don't know how the minivans and SUV's were able to park in there. Overall a great stay! Would stay there again.

The hotel was very clean, and had a desk with lamps and a lounge chair, the bed was clean and comfortable. The closet was reasonable and had an iron table, with an iron and plenty of cabinets for clothes. The bathroom was very clean and stocked with a lot of towels, a blow dryer, and even a small coffee maker thingy. I was really impressed with the whole room. Also their was a pool, breakfast, and even a fitness center, all included with the hotel stay. The room was visited by a cleaning staff, and they were really nice and attentive. I would surely stay in this hotel again.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We were in Santa Cruz for a farm dinner and we had nothing but great service. The room was extremely clean, the bed was nice and we couldn't believe there were two tv's in our room. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are ever in the Santa Cruz area. It's minutes from downtown and boardwalk and we'll definitely stay here again when we're in the area.
