Simple business hotel at the intersection of Hwy 1 and Hwy 17

Best Western Inn is convenient and well equipped for business travelers spending time in Santa Cruz. Located at the crossroads of highways 1 and 17 in a suburban area, this small property offers the conveniences of free breakfast with hot waffles, free Wi-Fi, a fitness center and business services. Best Western Inn also offers a reasonably priced overnight accommodation just a two-minute drive to the beach or downtown. The famous Mystery Spot is just ten minutes down the road.

overpriced

I stayed here for new years eve and although the room was fine, I had requested the king size bed and instead got a queen. I didn't complain until I found out another couple we were with had paid less and gotten a king. Disappointing

Just OK

Well we were given one room, my husband went to sit on bed, and it colapsed. Now my husband is not overly heavy (6ft 235lb) so we had to get a new room. Bathroom was very small. It had a very perfumy smell, like they try to overdue the freshener. Walls are thin. If you just need one night, then go for it. I would not come back to this place.

Good last minute choice!!!

Friendly staff, breakfast was goood a lot of food to choose from. My kids loved the waffle machine. Rooms were clean except on one of the beds there was sand and hair. Rooms didn't smell like smoke, so that was good. It was not noisy by the people, but due to the central location it was quite noisy due to cars. The pillows definately need to be a little bigger and firmer. :) Over all the experience was good.

The Boardwalk was at a short driving distance. That is great when you have children, who have been traveling awhile. Due to the location there is a Denny's across the street and other fast food places for a quick bite.

Maybe it was peak season ...

We were there to visit UC SC. Enjoyed Pacific Avenue shops and restaurants and the campus was beautiful. Ocean views from the bluff were spectacular. Hotel was ok but not the high point. Hard to spend $200 (after taxes) for a room with 2 queen size beds, but it must be high season in June, which is when we visited.

Best Western Inn

The staff was nice, the room was clean although it did smell a little bit like the person before us smoked in the room. The hotel was non-smoking. Other than, my girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay.

Nice place, good breakfast, good price,

only there one night, but it was fine. The showerhead was locked in only one postion, i felt like i was being shot with a water pic. Good continental breakfast.
