We decided last minute to head down to S.C. and found a GREAT deal for this hotel. It is nothing special (but really how many of them are?). However, the location was excellent (Beach Hill), and the price was fantastic. I would definately go back to them for a quick night or two.

Great experience
Very friendly, professional, and courteous managing staff. The hotel is conveniently located with a short walk to either the boardwalk or the wharf. Location made it easy to enjoy the sites with out the parking hassle with the sights and sounds of the boardwalk. I would definatly stay there AGAIN

Santa Cruz Good Times
The Aqua Breeze is a pleasant hotel located super close to the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk - just a walk across the big public parking lot and you're there. Also close to assorted restaurants and bars, although they're not right next door or anything. Our room was clean and pleasant, with cable TV, a fridge and microwave. No fancy bells and whistles, not much beyond some bars of soap and one travel package of hand lotion in the bathroom - but it was perfect for my no-frills fun weekend away. Towels and bedding were clean, beds were okay. There is a tiny swimming pool, but I didn't try it. There was parking for my vehicle, no noisy guests, and the staff was very friendly. FYI, if you want a late check-out, it's $10 per extra hour. Enjoy!

Eat breakfast at the Beach Street Cafe, their coffee is delicious, the food equally so, the environs cozy with Maxfield Parrish art everywhere... totally sweet. Did I mention the yummiest coffee on the strip?! :)

Great Place
Was a great place to stay, we had a wonderful time. The staff was very accommodating , helpful and very nice. The only thing is the tv could be newer but we weren't there to watch it, we had better things to do. The pool is nice was cleaned everyday not super heated, but a lot warmer than the ocean. Right across the street from the parking lot at the Boardwalk. You can stay and play at the beach and Boardwalk, and walk to the wharf. Next time we will bring our bikes and hit the trails that seem to go for ever!

The best food we really liked was Gilbert's Woodies Cafe on the wharf, had food for all of us with different tastes.

AVIOD AT ALL COSTS!!
Worst experience ever, this hotel is unsafe and unprofessional, police patrolled the parking lot shinning lights everywhere for hours upon arrival, door to conjoining room was left unlocked and available for anyone to walk through. Staff did not seem to care about the security issue whatsoever Television did not work, none of the rooms have a mini-fridge (not a big deal but false advertising). After 5 mins checked out and tried to receive refund hotel management refused to refund even though I did not stay at the hotel for more than a few minutes[...]

Great location.
We went away for a vacation to the Santa Cruz boardwalk and loved that the hotel was in walking distance of the boardwalk and had off street parking. When we got to the room we noticed that the bathroom toilet had some weird brown stuff on the handle. We called the front desk and they sent someone up to clean it but it still put a bit of a damper on the hotel experience. Also, the toilet paper roll wasn't changed for a new one, they just left the old one with only a few sheets left. Seems odd to mention but it bugged us, like they didnt really check the bathroom at all. The view of the boardwalk was really nice, and the people that worked there were extremely kind and helpful.
