Far below my expectations for the money!
Tiny room and you couldn't use the doorless closet unless you side shuffled next to the bed. There was no place to put a suitcase except on the table, no rack, no bathroom fan, bed lumpy and thin walls. Not worth the money!!!

We had a 2 room suite. The layout was poor. The TV in one room and the frig & microwave in the back room. The rooms were clean, though, and bug free. I am a tea drinker and there was no hot water available but there was tea bags.....?? The breakfast choices were slim. The granola bars are great. The location is convenient. Bring a scate board if you have one.

Thoughtful Planner
A little too small but good value.
The room was pretty small as well as the bathroom. The colors were pink with a pea green tub but that wasn't a big deal. The problem was that the bathroom door opened inward and would get stuck on the toilet because there wasn't enough space. Not the worst hotel to stay in but there is room for improvement. The mini-cinnamon rolls at the continental breakfast were delicious.

Good location, great price
Was in town only one night, wanted something affordable for a family of 4. Check in and out were easy. Hotel is older, however the room was clean and comfortable. Parking spaces are limited, however you can walk to the boardwalk (less than a mile). When I visit the area again, I will check pricing and availability here first.

Santa Cruz, home of bad hotels.
We would stay here again. Having a "suite" (two real rooms with two real beds) was nice. And it was cheap (for Santa Cruz). and it was clean without the smell of cheap cleaners (always a bad sign). The continental breakfast is minimal, but that wasn't important.

Santa Cruz has lots of great places to eat, I recommend Hula Island Grill And Tiki Room, one of my favorites.

Santa Cruz Beach Flats
I was staying while work was done on my home, so I was not interested in a vacation spot. I wanted something clean, convenient, w/refrig and microwave, and cheap. For the money, this was the best I could find. There are several other similar motels in this area in the "beach flats". This is a high crime run down part of town close to the Boardwalk and unless you are willing to pay $130 for a $85 dollar room you will have to stay in this part of town.

decent for price
2 blocks from the bordwalk and 2 blocks from downtown, not in too scummy of a location if you know the area. The rooms were smaller but you get what you pay for. The rooms need to be updated, and cleaned a little better. (Just remember to bring your own blankets). You can't expect much when you are traveling to this area, so all I have to say was it wasn't bad enough that I couldn't stay.
