My boyfriend and I chose West Beach Inn as the hotel for our anniversary weekend in Santa Barbara. We loved the location - it was close enough to State Street (2 1/2 blocks) yet far enough away from the crowds of State St. The electric trolley
runs in front of the hotel (every 30 min) or you can walk the 2 1/2 blocks to State St to catch the trolley every 15 min. It is conveniently located less than a mile from the train station so we walked to the station on our way home.
They offer wine and cheese each nice which is an added bonus.
The room was nice and comfy but appeared to be a bit aged - the shower and bathroom in particular. As a result some things did not look exceptionally clean but it was a result of the age of the bathroom.
The hotel was a great location for a decent price compared to other ocean-view hotels.
nice location, right by the shore.
disappointed about they really kick you out at 11pm strict from the pool and jacuzzi.
Quite disappointed that for a $200/night room, the breakfast is only slightly better than cheap motel's
We stayed in beginning of May and it was worth every dime. Plan to go back in July and pricey almost as the 4 star rating however, AAA gets you a 10% discount.
Either way, we really enjoyed our stay here.
Friendly staff for smooth checkin and care during the stay. Rooms clean and neat, but on the small side. Great outdoor seating for relaxing and poolside lounging. Modern furnishings throughout the property. Would come back again!
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Try Brophy Brothers for happy hour or dinner in the harbor. 10 minute walk and great chowder!!
