The West Beach Inn is a recently renovated beachfront property located between the marina and Stearns Wharf. West Beach is just across the street. Guests enjoy sea breezes, garden or ocean views, and warmly decorated rooms. Travelers mingle at the daily evening wine and cheese reception held poolside. This hotel is ok. Most hotels in Santa Barbara are overpriced. The hotel is old, and if you don't have a room with a view of the ocean/harbor I wouldn't stay here. The view of the harbor/ocean isn't the best (compared to other hotels down the street) because there is a large marina parking lot in the way. Rooms are better then you would expect compared to the outside of the hotel. The hotel has a great location. The harbor and beach are just across the street.

Lovely inn plus a great value
Just a couple of blocks from State Street across from the beach and Stearn's Wharf it was the perfect location for us. Very pretty grounds, clean, updated rooms. The breakfast selection of bagels, danish, cereal, fruit, juice and coffee, as well as the wine and cheese in the evening make this a great value. We plan on staying here again.

this hotel was perfect for a 1-night trip from southern cal. the hot tub and heated pool were fantastic and they had an unlimited wine and cheese happy hour. just a few blocks from state street and right across from the beach. can't beat it for the price.

this hotel is located right on the beach. the service is great. but the beds are very uncomfortable. it seems like sleeping on cement.

Eating on the patio, at Bliss, on State Street was beautiful. Breakfast at the hotel was substantial.

Great location, big room, nice
We were very pleasantly surprised with this find. Room was huge. Bathroom was small but nice. Location was ideal, across Cabrillo from the beach and walkable to State Street shops, etc. Staff was nice and helpful. Highly recommend it.

Wonderful romantic weekend!
Our stay at the West Beach Inn could not have been more perfect. From the excellent service to the fantastic location, the weekend was such a delight. We will definitely return in the future. Management and staff were knowledgeable and quick to please.

Anniversary Getaway
The staffs were very helpful, accomodating and always inspiringly smiling. There is free WiFi and abundant PARKING spaces that are very accessible to the rooms. Free breakfast includes varieties of fresh juices and coffees.

If you love seafoods, the Enterprise Sea Food has the best selections. And, you will not experience a service better than theirs. The steaks at Holdren's are good, but service sucks. We were the only Asian couple in there and they ignored us most of the time, unless we call them. Not even a goodbye thank you from their servers/order takers and receptionist. They even managed to mixed up our orders.

Nice place to stay
I went to Santa Barbara to sell my leather goods at the Arts & Crafts Show. I stayed at the West Beach Inn - It was a wonderful place. The staff is very friendly, rooms a very clean & beach is located across the street. You can see the ocean & pier from the balcony. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. The main pier is only a 15 minute walk away. There is a electric shuttle at the pier that will take you down town. My room was cleaned every morning promptly. They have FREE quickie breakfast food & drinks in the morning & FREE wine & cheese in the evening. The West Beach Inn made my business trip a pleasure. I would recommend this place to everyone.

One of the best
my stay was outstanding, little did I know that the Spanish days parade was going right in front of the hotel, also the location was excellent, the beach, dining places etc.
