Santa Barbara Inn

Great location with ocean views. Heated pool was nice. Served continental breakfast which was an added feature. Staff was pleasant. Beach across the street. Would stay there again!

We had a wonderful time, the staff was helpful at every turn and eager to please. The rooms were very nice, hotel is in a great location to move about the city and beach. Valet parking was an added plus.

The Santa Barbara Inn is in the perfect location. We had a wonderful weekend in your hotel. Will stay there again next time!

The room was spacious, nice, and opened right out to the hot tub, which was nice. The room was clean, hotel was generally pretty clean. Breakfast was barebones continental, but not bad for free. I only had 3 complaints: 1) The pillows are so soft that they offer ZERO support. When you put your head down, it sinks to the mattress immediately. I actually didn't mind this, but the people I was traveling with all mentioned it and were annoyed. 2) The towels were the texture of sandpaper. Literally the roughest towels I've ever used. And I am NOT a fabric snob, I really don't care much. It didn't even bother me that much, but it was remarkable how poor they were. 3) I used the valet parking. One night I arrived at 1:30 am and there was no valet on duty (which is fine). I went to the front desk (which was empty). A woman came out and I went to hand her my keys and she said "Just go ahead and park your car anywhere in the lot." They then had the audacity to charge me for valet parking for that night. When I refused to pay, they gave me no problems, which was nice. But when I walk in and hand you my keys, if you're in hospitality, you take the keys and park the car, you do NOT tell the guest to do it themselves. All these were minor annoyances. Overall a very good hotel, I would stay there again. There was also a fruit basket in the lobby, which was nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at the santa barbara Inn. The staff was very friendly and the rooms are perfect for the rates. If you are looking for glamor then this is not the place for you but if you are looking for comfort, cleanliness, perfect location, great staff, great basic rooms and a touch of class then you have picked the rioght Hotel. Thanks for a great stay.

Super friendly, attentive staff. Best cleaning staff we have ever had at a hotel. Only one small negative is the continental breakfast is just that, we like our protein in the AM so we found a local breakfast place each day. Would stay there again in a hearbeat!

Very relaxing weekend next to the beach in Santa Barbara. Great location. Trolley to State Street, very nice rooms.

The hotel is very clean. The staff is friendly and courteous. The location of this hotel is great. We spent time swimming in the pool in the cloudy morning and then walked to the beach in the afternoons. The Zoo is 5 minutes away.

This pleasure trip was to enjoy the sites, shopping and foods of Santa Barbara and the St Ynez Wine Region. The hotel was well situated to do this. There was however one member of the Front Desk Staff named [...] who clearly should not be a guest facing person and should probably find another line of work where lack of cordiality is critical. He was clueless when it came to local services, food options and tourist destinations. When asked about the location of the Nationally famous Every-Saturday-of-the-Year Santa Barbara Farmers Market he had to look it up and could only find Wednesday and Thursday listings. When asked directions to the Farmers Market he suggested we go to the Tourist Center. Turns out the Farmers Market was only eight blocks form the hotel. Other front Desk Staff were definitely better.
