Not as advertised

First experience with staff on arrival was disappointing, though the woman in the morning was very helpful. I thought the hotel was three stars, not even close. I was very uncomfortable in the room, bed was like a sunken pit. Carpet was moldy smelling with red stains and air freshner in the air. TV was very nice, shower was decent, location OK though lots of road traffic heard through very old sliding glass door.

EH!

The guest registration folks seemed less than happy to be there. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The hotel was quiet, but I won't be staying there again. It was just eh.

Hotel stay Ramada Limited

The front desk staff is friendly and helpful! Also there is a wide range of food for breakfast. This is our 2nd time at this hotel with Orbits. HOWEVER the bathroom was not completely clean!! The shampoo and conditioner was used, used soap was in the shower and the shower/tub was not completely clean!!

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Walking through UCSB campus and to the beach. Also walking downtown and on to the water. Be sure to go to the Mission.

Paper thin walls and outdated rooms

Stayed for the third time @ this hotel. I requested to have a garden side room and was told since I was staying 2 nights this type of room wasn't available. The room is very outdated and uncomfortable. Small, no type of lounging chair; we had to pull the plastic outdoor chairs in from the patio in order to sit on something other than the bed. We had a room with an adjoining door. We could hear everything the next door guest were saying. This hotel desperately needs a renovation. The cost of the single room is way overpriced for what you get. When the shower is turned on it sounds like a jet engine is firing up; very difficult to have peaceful sleep.

Visiting son at UCSB

The pictures on the website definitely look much better than the actual hotel. I had high hopes for this hotel but the only good thing about it was the pool as my daughter and her friend really enjoyed it. The bed was horrible. My daughter and I shared the King size bed and we kept rolling into the middle of the bed. I will probably not stay there again.

Hotel was overpriced and not very nice.

The hotel is right off the 101 in a pretty good location. The hotel itself is not very nice, the room walls are made of cinder block and painted an old ugly yellow, the bathrooms are outdated and old looking. Also when we asked for a crib they brought some old crib that looked like it was from the 1930s, it was made of metal bars with no padding. The hallways and the rooms had the smell of being old and musty. The hotel did have a swimming pool and free breakfast which were nice but it did not seem like a 3 star hotel, I would give it 2 stars. Overall the hotel would be fine but it needs to be cleaned and remodeled.

not my favorite motel

The room was clean but not cheery. Very old and dark, that includes the entire inside. Its not a hotel. No elevater and no help with luggage. The outside pool looked good and the breakfast was a nice surprise, lots to choose from and fresh. The bed was comfortable.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

Not close to State Street and the beach! It was a couple of exits away from the main part of SB.
