Thanksgiving weekend in Santa Barbara

I took my 4 year old granddaughter up to Santa Barbara for the Thanksgiving weekend. The Ramada Limited was a very comfortable, convenient hotel with all the amenities needed to make our stay enjoyable. Loved the Cable TV, free internet, free breakfast and beautiful ponds and bridges. Safe, fun, comfortable and quiet.

Nice and pleasant

Front desk staff were perfect in greeting and responding to special needs. Room was clean and linens were very soft. "Deluxe" breakfast could have been a little deluxer to make the grade.

Overpriced. Old, outdated rooms

This place looks like a lush tropical get-away, but don't be fooled by the brochure photos. Rooms were old - old carpeting, old paint, tiny tube TV. No ventilation in the tiny bathroom. Staff was very good.

Don't bother paying extra for the lagoon view! It's worth it. Lagoon is nothing more than a small lily pond with a few very small fish.

Not bad at all

I was expecting the location to be nearer downtown, which it wasn't but the atmosphere, staff, cleanliness were all very pleasing. For the cost it was an enjoyable experience, and I would add that it was worth the extra cost to face the "lagoon" which was an added attraction

Ramada near Goleta

Room is large and has a fridge but interior looks very old-fashioned. Setting of the garden and pool is very nice, but lacks a bar or resaturant to make use of it. Not in walking distance to many resataurnats and shops, also no fitness facilities on site, have to use external club about 5 miles away.
