Great Value
The Parkside Inn is an annex to the Hotel Mar Monte and is located approximately two blocks from the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the building was well maintained. The Inn has no amenities onsite, but guests are entitled to use everything the hotel has to offer. While I enjoyed a massage, my husband enjoyed breakfast and a swim. The Hotel is a beautiful Landmark property, and staying at the Inn is a remarkable value.

A great surprise for the money!
We stayed here not knowing what to expect. It wasn't out of the way-only across the street-so not inaccessable to restaurant,pool etc. The room was charming with full shower/tub bathroom. We liked it so much we stayed again on our way home to San Diego.Staff very friendly and cooperated fully to save my sweater from being lost so it was returned to me when we came back the next week-Thumbs up to all who made our stay so enjoyable

Great Vacation Hotel
The Parkside in was a great hotel. Its location was amazing: walking distace from the beach. The staff was freindly with my family and for that im thankfull. The rooms were resonibly priced and the size was perfect.

The beach and dinning are walking distace from the hotel; However, the famous State Street that has shopping and many cafes is about a five minute drive from the hotel.

A hidden treasure for sure!
This hotel, although set apart from the main hotel, was a pleasant suprise! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking to stay in Santa Barbara and not spend an outrageous amount of money. It's just as nice as a 3 star hotel, very close to State Street and the pier. The staff is amazingly courteous and friendly. The room was beautiful, cozy and felt like home. We honestly had a hard time leaving the bed because it was so comfortable. I give this place two thumbs up!!

romantic getaway
went to the beach. we got a very nice upgrade deal, got the room right in front of the beach. wonderful building structure. got the best value for the priced paid. friendly staff. great room service. will come back here again.

we have had two different stays at parkside inn , for vacation time and track camp for my son , one of the best hotels i have ever experienced thank you very much.

Nice location for reasonable price
The Parkside was close to the beach and reasonably close to downtown. The pool, exercise room, and restaurant were located in a different building. We did not take advantage of these facilities.

Walk down to the beach. There is a 25 cent bus that runs along the shore to several attractions but it appears that it stops running early in the evening.

Close to the beach
While very close to the beach, the Parkside Inn was about a mile from the happening, restaurant area. The room was very large, suite style with a nice balcony that was accessible from the bedroom and the living room. The bed fixings (comforter especially) could use to be more comfortable.

An OK place if traveling with pets
The Parkside Inn is a satellite owned by the much larger and more expensive Mar Monte Hotel about 1 1/2 blocks away and you have to check in there and then drive to the Parkside, where there is no front desk. The room was clean but unattractive and sparsely furnished. They accept pets but charge a one-time $75 cleaning fee in addition to the room rate. You are allowed to use the big hotel's pool and facilities.

Ocean beach is 2 bolcks away with nice sandy beach, lifeguards, snack bars etc. Downtown Santa Barbara is about 1 mile distant
