Great quick budget friendly trip for a concert!

We had a great time at Orange Tree, the only issue was that there were little black seeds on our pillow, the front staff immediately changed the room for us! Otherwise great little hotel with an awesome pool and great little restaurants around the area.

nice, but expensive

This hotel is nice, but not worth the price. The location is ok, but it's a good 2 mile walk to downtown. No fridge or coffee in room, & no breakfast offered by hotel. None of that would be a big deal if you didn't have to pay so much. The staff is really friendly, & the room is big & very clean.

you get what you pay for

Hair on pillow, carpet tacks exposed, no outlets by desk, premium channels on parental controls and staff didn't know how to fix it and didn't seem to care, dirty walls, toilet seat doesn't stay up. Just really disappointing but it is cheap to book through travel site. Would rather pay more and not wonder whether they washed the towels, or if they were just stained.

Can be noisy

It is an average hotel and has nothing much special. However, if you happen to live next to someone noisy, it can be quite annoying.

Little road trip

Decided to take a little road trip with a friend. And without even seeing the hotel, I decided to book it. Turned out great. Very very friendly staff. Modern rooms with nice bed sets. Very clean. Only thing that would have made it better would be a fridge in the rooms.

Basic Lodging, Great Staff.

My daughter and I checked in at the Orange on a whirlwind. We had been thrift and record shopping through Oxnard and Ventura, and got to the hotel at about 4:30. I asked the staff about a concert we would be attending at the Bowl, and if it was advisable to cab in. They suggested yes, and I asked for them to call for a cab. Just like clockwork it arrived on time. Easy check in and check out. Room was basic, two queens. We got in around eleven, had dinner, and crashed. I slept well. Bed was comfortable, room was clean.
