Santa Barbara luxury hotel keeps guests happy with amazing amenities
The Hotel Mar Monte stands just across the street from beautiful East Beach in Santa Barbara. The AAA 3 diamond hotel has 173 comfortable guestrooms encased in a lovely Spanish Colonial building. Guests take in views of the Pacific Ocean while swimming in the heated outdoor pool. Rooms included modern conveniences like microwaves, refrigerators, high-speed Internet access and 37-inch HDTV with HBO and on-demand movies. The Hotel Mar Monte is within walking distance to the Santa Barbara Zoo and a short drive to many Santa Barbara attractions.

Friendly Evironment
I had a wonderful experience! The staff is very friendly. The complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were the best. My girls and I had a great time! The location of the hotel is perfect...close to all major attractions...the night life of Santa Barbara on State Street. Will definitely recommend.

Great hotel but got some bad room views
Hyatt in Santa Barbara is a good hotel. Clean and comfortable. However they charge extra for parking and the room we got faced a blank wall 5' away from our window. Terrible view. Way too expensive for what we got.

Nice hotel, if staying on the third floor, you hace to change elevator to reach your room. Also, water had a bad smell.

GREAT LOCATION!
We were very pleased with the attentiveness of the hotel staff. If a hotel employee ran into us anywhere on the premises, he/she would greet us and inquire as to whether we needed assistance with anything. ..Loved the architecture and decor within.. The room was perfect and the bed was especially comfy. The location of the Hyatt was awesome! We were easily able to access the beach across the street and conveniently close to State St and the Marina restaurants. We definitely would stay here again! As usual, our experience was nothing less than one would expect at a Hyatt property.

a very good option
The location of the Hyatt in Santa Barbara is very good. We enjoyed the long walk to State Street along the pretty ocean path. The hotel was nicely maintained. Our room appeared to have been newly remodeled, although I think that some rooms might still not be remodeled. The desk staff was very pleasant. We particularly liked Jordan, who was very helpful and really knew what he was doing. He is great management material.

Insist on the Main Building ! (Hotel vs Motel)
INSIST on the main building (Hotel), it was recently renovated, but not the other two additional buildings (Motel). They tried to stick us in the motel part, it was musky, and unattractive. The renovated portion is nicely remodeled, near the pool, restaurant/bar. We took our small breed dog Willy (a West Highland Terrior) with us, and he really liked their greenbelt, and the baseball park area across the street. The location overall is -good, although it isn't located on the beach side of the street. If being near the beach is what you want, this place is hard to beat. For those interested in the night life, the State Street area is a much better location.

Not a 4 star hotel
a LOT of money for not a whole lot in return. -- weird hotel layout. -- a road separates you from the beach and if you pay extra(like me) to see the beach, well you even get to hear the cars that go by it. Not what you would expect from a Hyatt -- housekeeping woke me up at 8am to clean room. I guess I could of put the do not disturb tag up -- good food --nice and very helpful staff! --clean hotel
