Comfort Inn & Suites John Wayne Airport

This is one of the best lodging values I have had in some time. The room was very clean and adequate. After we had checked in about a half hour, the desk clerk called up to make sure everything was okay! I have never had that happen, save for some five-star hotels. Although we were there just for the night, the grounds and the patio area was very nice and lush. The free breakfast was pretty much what you would expect, though the gal working it was unusually pleasant and keep everything refilled promptly. When visiting the Irvine/Newport area in the future, I will always stay here. It is one of the few places where I can honestly say you get more than you paid for!

Definately on the lower end of Comfort Inn standards, from the dated bathrooms and televisions to the sparse breakfast. Room doors do not fully auto close. Slow Internet.

hotel was ok but the breakfast lounge was out of every thing they were not able to refill stuff people were waiting an kept asking but the stuff was out. Only one person was working as a breakfast server and as a receptionist .we had to wait just even for a cover forever..it was big mess there..I will never ever go there again...

Clean Efficient Hotel, staff very helpful, rooms kept very clean and also the hotel grounds. Convenient location as very close to the Freeway. Hotel was in a quiet road next to a few other hotels. Very nice rooms with everything you need for a few days stop. The breakfast was great, with toast waffles cereal fruit, 24hr coffee in reception, they even put out cookies every evening for guests !

this motel appears very old with peeling paints, damaged ground, broken garbage bins, Internet access not reliable (on and off for a couple days)... it is under renovation now. location is excellent but much less attractive than the Hampton Inn next door at Hotel Terrace that we stayed last year in April. the pool seems not clean, continental breakfast is the same very day, hard for a 11-day stay when we visit our son in orange county. on the good aspects, we paid for an additional room for our friends for two nights, the rate was very good. staff were very helpful.

We were just staying one night and the plumbing was horrible. Thank goodness the toliet worked, but the sink and shower both backed up and wouldn't drain. I've stayed at other Comfort Suites and they were nice, however this place was far from that. If I had got a better nights sleep I proably would of asked for my money back when I checked out. I was just too tired to argue and just wanted to get out of there.

If you need an internet connection, I'd choose another hotel. Otherwise, a well-cared for property, clean room, hospital staff, and a decent breakfast. However, for most travelers the lack of an internet connection makes the choice difficult.

Phone didn't work, toilet didn't work, 2 inch gap under the exterior door, tv remote didn't work, spanish graffiti in elevator. When talked to the front staff (on several occassions) they always said everything was fine. Well, if we're here saying it isn't in person(cause we couldn't call) then there is a problem...fyi.
