Hotel was dirty and smelled like smoke
I used to live in the bay area and we came up to visit friends. We stayed in the Four Points Sheraton on San Rafael for a week. First of all the room smelled like smoke. I called the front desk to complain and the person that answered the phone was very short and rude. All he said was "this is a non-smoking hotel". Uhh, that didn't help. Second, there was a trash can next to the ice machine (which did not work) that was overflowing with trash for 3 days. I let the front desk know and they emptied it a few days later. I was expecting the hotel to be a lot cleaner. I was very disappointed

Nice hotel
this hotel was nicer than I expected. The pillows were nice and comfy, the staff was friendly and every was nice and clean. The breakfast was a bit over-priced, but nicely appointed. I would definitely stay there again!

Might be renamed "Two Points by Sheraton
I am not a complainer, nor all that persnikity about hotels, but this was a disappointment from the start. Arrived at 5 pm, 2 hours past check-in, and the rooms weren't cleaned because "we don't have the staff today." The pool was empty; NO WATER in it; under construction, but that was not on the website. Bedspread had lots of hair on it; no free appetizers during the non-existant Happy Hour; no free breakfast ($12!) No screen on the window so I couldn't air out the room from the last guest who evidently enjoyed using after shave. Really not a great experience. I met other family there to visit our mom who's in a nearby assistel living facility down the street. Would have been a good hotel for the kids to stay when they visit (there are six of us), but we'll have to find a different hotel from now on. Too bad; it was convenient to my mom's place!

I was there for business, and the accomodations were satisfactory. Could use a renovation though, something to make it seem less worn out. Very helpful staff.

The Sheraton
The room was quite large. The bathroom, however, was very small. The door was right up against the tub, making it difficult to get in! The amenities listed a refrigerator but none in the room. Fee of $10 is charged to have one brought to you!

The restaurant in the Hotel is exquisite! The menu is quite large, the prices good and the food was delicious! And you didn't have to drive there!

Nice Hotel, Too Bad Close to Freeway
We were there for a memorial service in Tiburon. My brother lives in Kentfield. This was recommended by a family member. The rooms were nice and the amenities were good, but the room we had was on the freeway side and it was noisy. The pool was excellent and the restaurant was nice. The fitness room had good equipment, but the air conditioner in there wasn't working. There wasn't even a standing fan. If you stay at the hotel, I would make sure you request the side away from the freeway.

There is a nice mini mall right across the street from the hotel. We had forgotten several items at home and it was convenient to pick up the items at the mall.
