San Rafael Stay
This is a good hotel, easy access, clean, good room layout and close to where I work when in town. Only request is have some protein at breakfast. All carb won't work for me. Front desk gave me a recommendation for a restaurant downtown and it was good food.

Le Croissant is a good breakfast house. It's less than two miles from the hotel. Take cash, as they don't take credit cards. Debit or cash only.

Average hotel experience, but bad beds
The room was nice and clean, large and handy with a kitchen. However, the beds were horrible. Not only were they uncomfortable, but they squawked anytime you moved--even to breathe. With four people it was an ongoing musical throughout the night. The staff were pleasant, but didn't expend any extra kindness and looked at me like I was crazy when I asked about late check out.

alot for the money
We just stopped at this hotel while passing thru san rafael during a road trip, so we weren't staying here to see or do anything really, just to get a nights sleep. I was happily surprised there was a nice outdoor hot tub-as this ammenity was not listed in the hotel description online. Also we paid $50-$100 less than other hotels we had stayed at in sanfran and santa cruz and feel like we got more for our money at this hotel-has nice big kitchen and bath with hardwood floors. Very homey feel-quiet, can't even tell its off the freeway when ur there. Small TV though. Definitely liked this place, we even got a nice view of the bay out our window. No balconies avail. though

Try the restaurant Brooklyn Pizza in San Rafael, a short drive away--small family run restaurant, excellent food, authentic pizza recipe, nice people, awesome desserts available like kaluha chocolate heath cheesecake!

Nice vacation
This trip was to see my mother-in-law for the first time since she moved to San Francisco a couple of years ago. In this trip my wife, her brother and myself came together and needed a spacious room where the three of us could stay comfortably. We were all very pleased with the accomodations. It was clean, and comfortable. It is located very close to the interstate so we had easy access to come and go anywhere we wanted.

Time-saving tip:
Not Applicable
There's nothing close to the hotel. You need to drive anywhere you want to go, but it is close to the interstate, so you can go quickly anywhere.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
gross false advertising: the claim was that we would have breakfast - there was none! there was further no mention of the fact that NO CLEANING is ever done!!! the bathrooms were horrible. no new, clean towels, etc - unless you are interested in paying more!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! maybe, if you were forewarned and content with no service for the same tariff you might find anywhere else, you could deal with this. but why? why not have a proper experience? BE FOREWARNED!!! they will NOT mention their horrendous policy. oh yeah: the front desk is closed, if you want to chat to someone about anything...

A great place to stay everytime!
Hotel is always clean whenever I stay there, and the staff are helpful. I had a problem in the middle of the night that they were quick to resolve. My only issue is that they charge for internet access in the rooms, but they have two computers for guest use.
