Not what you think it is or what you want it to be!
This is a large complex with several buildings. Ours was called "harmony" and is the equivalent of a remodeled boy scout camp building. Blinds missing slats, tub was plugged so when you showered you were standing in 4 inches of water, plaster falling off the walls so there were little piles of powder and chips, the hot tubs stink and fill the room with an overwhelming smell of sulfur. Dinning room try's to be fine dining but the food is soso and the server was absentminded and arrogant. Left early and never looked back.

The Best!
Wow, talk about RELAXING! Having a hot tube in your room, it just doesn't get any better! Everyone was very nice and the place was so quiet! Plus being in the middle of the trees, well wow!! My husband and I wish we had stayed longer! Will go back again for sure. Use to live there but never had stayed there. Always wanted to. Just the best time ever!

A bit of Heaven by SLO
We had a wonderful time at the hotel. While visiting our daughter in college we were able to have a blissfully relaxing and rejuvenating time at the resort. The room was elegant with privacy for hot tubbing at our will. The yoga classes were a treat as was the spa experience where we all had massages and soaked in the mineral tubs in the woods. We took the 2.5 mile walk to Avila beach where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner outside. The walk back at dusk was beautiful and fun. We will definitely make this our hotel of choice when ever we got to SLO! Our only complaint was road noise which was dealt with by having music playing in our room.

Long walk from hotel
Don't pass up taking the walk to Avila. It's well worth it. On Friday night there may be an outdoor market of food vendors. The restaurant at the end of the block (starts with a C) is great!

Great for relaxing - Stress for work
Sycamore Hot Springs...does it get any better...Lovely place to stay as long as you do not have any work to do. They advertise wi-fi. Not true in any way!! I stole my wife away for the day and all she did was cry due to not being able to get online. The management staff made it sound like it was our fault, but when I checked out I heard there were 7 other people upset about the same thing. Our entire stay was ruined and very stressful. I inquired about about a credit or refund, but forget it. Once they have your money they do not care about you or your stay.Other than the management, the younger staff was fantastic. Hopefully they get promoted soon and the senior staff will be gone. The hotel will charge alot for the rooms, but it is becoming very run down, and they do not put any money back in to make your stay more enjoyable. Extremly disappointed!!!

Well worth the money.
We hiked the trail behind the hotel. This hike is well worth the awesome views! We took advantage of Happy Hour in the bar. Enjoyed half priced treats. Also indulged in the couples massage. Very relaxing. Really loved our own hot tub on our patio!
