Enjoyed stay. Short walk to Thursday night market. Friendly staff. Good facilities. Reasonably priced well appointed motels. Would certainly stay there again.

fine
We pre-booked for Cal Poly open house weekend which had every room in SLO booked. Got in at at 1a.m. three parking spaces left and six people yet to arrive. Desk clerk was pleasant. Room basic, clean and comfortable. Quiet until about six a.m. when guests too stupid to consider others sleeping in til 7:30 started to leave, calling to parking lot from rooms, etc.

You might do better
My expectations are pretty low. I am not a high-maintenance type of traveler. I also realize this is a Super 8, pretty far down on the food chain. Here's the problems: Sink drain clogged, cold-cold shower, and the non-smoking room was anything but. My advice is if you can find another motel for 10-20 bucks more it will be well worth it.

Short walk from hotel
Come hungry, there are plenty of great places to eat. And while you're waiting for your meal be sure to grab a copy of New Times, SLO's weekly. Solid writing, good stories.

great for the money
simple but clean- good value, great location. Front desk is very friendly. Breakfast was too simple- juice, apples, pastries and 2 dry cereals but coffee was good and hot!

Never Again...
The staff was great! Very Friendly!!! But I had to change my room when my neighbor's dog would NOT stop barking! I have a 17 month old, so I moved downstairs. I ended up listening to parties all night long (both nights)... the cops were called and it was horrible! The parking is SO BAD!!! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and spacious, but I will never stay there again! You can hear everything!!!! And parking there is impossible!

Great Location, Good Night's Sleep
When we arrived, the only person in the office was on the phone. While we waited, we noticed the difficulty with English. We asked if there were any other discounts for which we might be eligible. After five or six tries we finally got that she was trying to say [...] And, no we were not eligible for any other. At that point, I gave up any hope of discussing my need for a handicap accessible room.
