Casual hotel appeals to budget travelers with free Wi-Fi, breakfast

Thjere was no air conditioning in the room and the room itself was very smelly...:-( The breakfast was also very lousy, we vent to the local restaurant instead.

Price was budget friendly, and location was easy to find. Rooms were small, but had all of the necessities. No pool and limited space inside the room. Bed/linens fairly comfortable; had to ask for extra towels. Needs more shelving or storage in bathroom. Toilet was noisy, but stopped after bowl filled with water.

DISGUSTED AT THIS HOTEL
A DUMP TO BE AVOIDED
AVOID THIS PLACE. A DUMP. Probably the worst, dirtiest, worn, unsafe hotel we have ever stayed at. I mean that. Ever. Smoke detector missining from room, making us nervous with gas furnace that is looks like the original furnace from fifty sixty ears ago. chairs had massive staining--so bad, wouldn't sit on them. Furniture extremely beat up and worn. Kind of disgusting. Mattress not much better than the floor, except that the siding was separating exposing some type of fibers. carpet, and rest of place extremely unclean. Housekeeping doesn't for a multi day stay. I read reviews of this place and they didn't sound bad. I didn't expect all that much, but it was truly a dump. Avoid this place.

Familyman
creaky floors/ roofs & thin door/walls.
The front office person was kind enough to allow us to check in before 3 PM. However, our room on the first floor had very noisy neighbors. The roof was creaky and kept us awake for the most part of the night as the occupants on the 2nd floor were active. Opening and shutting of entrance doors shook our room so much.

Quick getaway, sleep, shower, coffee
Walked to downtown SLO for dinner and late shopping. Not far from Pismo! The only thing missing was a pool. One bad experience was that the room aboves water leaked into the bathroom light fixture and it took awhile for the person to come and check it but all in all the room was fine. Would recommend updating the cealings.

The Price is Right!
We only were at the hotel for one night. We went to a family reunion in Morro Bay and decided to stay overnight in San Luis Obispo. The next morning we went to Avila Beach for the day before heading home. We were pleasantly surprised how clean and orderly the rooms were. Our check-in and out was easy. We would definitely stay at this hotel in the future.

Lots to do in the area. There is a two hour self guided tour around town that gives a person the history of the town.

We found this our perfect stay- it was close to the freeway and within walking distance of many fine restaurants, the cute downtown area, and the mission. Our criteria was clean, quiet, and close to the hub of activities we were visiting the area for; this matched perfectly for us!
