Easy and nothing special
Our stay was not bad. It was a place to rest our head and that was about it. If I were to choose again I would stay someplace a bit nicer. But you get what you pay for. They need to remodel everything. The location was on the corner of the 101 and Highway 1 so the road noise was noticeable. But if your looking for a place just to put your head down at night this is the place. I do recommend the sushi place just down the street, very good food.

Room just remodeled but no internet connection
Stayed in a two-queen-bed room that was apparently remodeled recently. Mattresses were quite old with visible stains. WiFi connection was on and off constantly such that it is impossible to do anything with internet. Breakfast was as expected (muffins, coffee, and orange juice) given the price ($67 including tax) paid.

Good for travelers wanting to spend a night
Clean rooms. Staff was polite and friendly. Breakfast was a muffin and coffee. It is across the street from a fast food restaurant and some young people were very loud and noisy in the early morning hours. But what do you expect from young people today.

worked great
hotel is in good location and is very reasonably priced. you get what you pay for. it's not a top of the line hotel but it gets the job done. fast food on every corner around hotel. Gas stations near by not far from an albertsons either. Most everything you need is walking distance

Two Thumbs Up
Having stayed in many $40-$45 motel rooms, this struck me as the best, the cleanest, the nicest. Who knows if other rooms are different. I was in 211. You won't find a better motel value anywhere. Oh, and the wireless was ridiculously fast.

Cal Poly move-in day
The hotel was nothing to write home about! Nothing fancy! It served it's purpose for us as we prepared to move our daughter into Cal Poly. We arrived the night before move-in and checked out early. Room and bed... OK. Bathroom could be spruced up with a coat of paint and we had no screen on the bathroom window. The bathroom door had a hole in it also.

Long walk from hotel
We ate dinner at The Firestone Grill. Amazing Tri-tip sandwiches and fries. A must while in San Luis Obispo.

Don't stay here
This is a run down motel. The carpet was frayed, there were holes that were patched over on the ceiling and walls, the sink was backed up, several things in the room were broken and it just looked dirty. It was worth $40 at best. The room didn't have enough towels and when I asked for a full set of extra towels, I was given two bath towels. The person at the front desk didn't know what a hand towel or wash cloth was -- I had to explain it to her.

Terrible!!
The pool was dirty, I was put in the handicap suite, though I am not - which had a heater that did not work (and it was cold at night!), no bathroom door, no bathtub, a tv with a broken power button, no alarm clock, the bottom sheet was not a fitted sheet, the carpet was pulled and filthy, etc. This was a terrible hotel - oh and their keys are metal with the number engraved by them and no "do not copy" engraved - which did not make me feel secure leaving valuable belongings in my room. I will never, ever stay at this hotel again!
