Great getaway!

We traveled with another family and shared a room. We used the hotel as home base as we went sight seeing. Love the Embassy and this location has especially friendly staff. I love the variety offered for their breakfast...kept us full most the day The Gym is very well appointed..I even used it twice!

the hotel was just average for an older hotel and is beginning to need some upgrading on the facility. The sliding door to the "patio"was difficult to open and close and they needed better lightling in the room. our evening meal for the banquet was very good and the breakfasts were fine. I know its difficult to keep food on a steam table warm, but I believe it might have been kept a little warmer

San Luis Obispo is the Way to Go!

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in SLO. It is a great hotel. Good location, nice rooms, ammenities are wonderful. The Manager's Reception was nice including graits munchies and the option to order dinner. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was a tasty treat! Breakfast with "cook to order" omelets. They were fabulous. Do take time to walk around the area which includes a mall within walking distance. We have stayed at this hotel several times without any complaints. We will stay here again and you should too.

An old, tired Embassy Suites

The hotel was hidden away at the end of a large shopping center, with ample parking space. Staff at the desk was very nice. Although the exterior of the building and the atrium looked typical of an Embassy Suites, the room was tired and old the moment you entered. Carpet, furniture and bathroom were left over from the early 1990's, similar to what you would find in a 1-star motel. SLO Embassy Suites should be rated a 2-star facility, and priced accordingly.

Complimentary happy hour. OK value

Rooms were kind of dated, and it was quite pricey (200 per night) for just a random weekend. However, you get a complimentary happy hour and a pretty legit breakfast. Would probably try to stay elsewhere next time for that kind of coin.

Dont get stuck inside!

Nice hotel considering the options available in this town. The design of the hotel (atrium) creates a sound chamber that those stuck with inside rooms hear everything. Seriously, someone farts in the lobby and we heard it!! Ask for a room that faces out!
