over all the room was fine but nothing special. The worst thing was the bathroom was covered in black mold. the shower head didn't work right. the water pressure was awful. I would never stay there again.

The worst!
I was due to stay for nine days but after the first few I left and went to another hotel. On my first day I went to breakfast at 6:30am (opening time). The food was there but they were out of plates. I informed the desk clerk and he reacted with disbelief although it would seem he set it all up. Another morning again at 6:30am there was no coffee. The third morning again at 6:30 there was no food! Unbelievable. The wireless service was forever losing signal and making it impossible to work. The desk staff on one morning got into a confrontation in front of a number of customers. Overall it was not a good experience and should probably be avoided a at all costs.

A Good Night's Sleep
I stayed here the night before a race event. I consider myself low-maintenance, so all I really care about is having a clean room (no stains or odors), comfortable beds, and a functioning shower. Although the room was on the smaller side, I didn't really care... I do care about guest service, and I think the hotel staff were, by far, the nicest hotel staff I've ever dealt with. The hotel is about a mile from downtown, well within walking distance, plus I got a room in the back, farthest from the main street, so the night was quiet. Overall, I'm thankful I was able to get a good night's sleep at a decent price. Oh, and the self-service waffle maker at the complimentary breakfast was a cute touch...

bummed in slo
booooo.
all i wanted to do when i was visiting my friend in slo, was read by the pool one day. the pool wasn't cleaned up from the night before. there were dirty towels everywhere. walking up to the pool area one of the stone steps was broken and replaced with a wood plank painted white. i had asked the girl at the front desk if there were any pool towels and she told me that they had none (wonder why) and would bring me one. she never showed. so, i tried to make the best of it with the broken sun damaged pool furniture, and decided to take a dip in the pool. it's not heated. the room was okay for the price, small and disorganized, and the carpet was dirty. the light above the sink worked sometimes, and the light on the hair dryer flashed on and off all night, so i unplugged it. this place it gross and there are a ton of other options on the same street.

good location, nice breakfast
Good location, great morning staff, better than usual buffet breakfast. Small pool, fitness room not too useful. The halls were noisy until midnight; noises travel far thru the thin walls.

Ok stay. Clean room.
We stayed here for 1 night while traveling from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The room was clean. It was one of the more reasonably priced rooms in the area. Other than that, I'm afraid that there is nothing special about this room or this property.

Lamplighter April 2010
Had a good time, but I paid extra for a larger queen room, but the room was still very small. It was on the end of the row, which is good when we made tons of noise, but wasn't as big as I expected.

Great value an accomodations
Tool a one night weeken trip to wine taste. Didn't plan on spending too much time or money on the hotel. We paid 76$ for the night and the room was perfect for us. A little small but had everything we needed and more. Staff was friendly and the continental breakfast had yummy waffles! The fridge and micowave were great for dining out leftovers. I would stay again especially at that price!
