Handsome central San Jose boutique hotel for both work and play
A central San Jose location and stylish, neo-traditional design bring travelers of both the business and leisure variety to Joie de Vivre's Moorpark Hotel. On-site restaurant Park Bar & Grill, is a convenient stop for a beer and a burger, but Santana Row is less than two miles away and offers a plethora of dining and drinking options, too. Other appealing property amenities include a billiards loft, a heated outdoor pool and a fitness center with free weights and an assortment of cardio equipment.

Did not get to stay
My flight was delayed and I didn't get to San Jose Saturday, therefore, I couldn't stay. I had pre-paid and called Orbitz Saturday night to see if I could get a refund, but, the recorded message said that I would have to pay 105.00 cancellation fee. I'm very upset as I had to pay to stay in Atlanta, therefore, I paid for 2 hotels and used 1. Orbitz advertises no cancellation fee, but that's not what your message told me. I won't use your site again. Had I gone directly to the hotel, they told me they would have been able to cancel and I may have had a 25.00 fee, which would have been fine. Instead, I am out 105.00 for that room

First room---sink wouldn't drain Moved to second room---faucet leaked- not a drip but leaked on top of counter. No second night stand. No black out curtains Upon leaving, I was unable to reach the desk as they were staging a wedding in the lobby. DEcafe coffee wasn't provided in room

Bad First Impression
When we first stepped into the hotel, and approached the front desk, the receptionist named [...] seemed very rude. There was no "welcome". The receptionist went directly into looking into our reservation. When asked about late check out, he sternly said, "no, we are booked". I thought he could've told us in a more professional manner especially since we are guests. Although, the hotel was pleasant, the staff could work on customer service skills.

Nice place
Nice hotel. It was quiet and clean. However, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. So it got very hot after showering. There is also no vending machine in this hotel. Bring your snacks and drinks!

Savvy Traveler SF
An OK Stay...
The location was not ideal for travelers without their own vehicles (it cost about $25 to get a cab to Downtown San Jose). The hotel- and especially our bathroom- reeked of cigarette smoke, even though the grounds were supposed to be "smoke-free." And though we informed the staff of this fact on numerous occasions, nothing was done to ameliorate the situation. The breakfast buffet cost $9.95 a person, but only offered scrambled eggs, sausages, watery oatmeal, toast, juice/coffee, and some fruit salad. The pool was very small and was right next to the sports bar- not the ideal swimming experience.

Nice and quiet
It was a very quiet hotel. Won't recommend if you are on a vacation. There are not much to do in the area.

Convenience accommodation.
Location was only adequate, as were the amenities. It would have been nice to have some sort of a kitchenette or at least a microwave.

Xanadu
Not a 4 stars hotel!
Tried to believe it is 4 stars hotel but it is not! Doesn't feel that warm welcome like I used to get at other 4 stars hotels.

Excellent value in a convenient location
This was a very affordable alternative to staying in overpriced Santa Cruz. The staff was very friendly, and we enjoyed free parking, free wifi, free breakfast and smaller amenities. It's also quite handy to San Jose Airport.

great deal on a very nice room
good location and very nice room staff very nice and capable went to mountain winery for pretenders concert about 6 miles away checkin a little late so ms fleming gave us complimentary breakfast the next morning which we missed because we slept til 1030 we were told of a restaurant about 2 blocks south called bill of fare that was wonderful for breakfast
