Not a great experience
[...]I arrived, checked into the room, but the following morning we discovered that there was no water in the shower. The handle was frozen shut. We called and "engineering" came by and finally replaced the valve. I think I now know how they "found" a room for us!

This is not the correct name of Hotel!
I would like to point out that this Hotel information is not correct.I made these reservations for my husbands business trip to Palo Alto CA.First of all this Hotel is not called Holiday Inn San Jose any more. He had a very hard time trying to find the hotel. No signs with Holiday Inn.Second the fridge listed was not in the room as shown below. I had to call and have a fridge and microware to be delivered to his room. #2130This cost an extra $10 each per day.We have done business with [...] in the past. Not very happy how this turned out!I would like a e-mail back to myself and also my husband with how you can take care of this inconvenient!

This place stinks
this place is no longer managed by Holiday Inn but Garden Hotel. The beds are okay and clean, but the whole place literally stinks whether that's hallways or the bedrooms. Because of the beds it's probably okay for a late overnight stay but avoid this place for extended stays. It's just bad.

Not to much of a Holiday
Hotel is right down the street from the San Jose Airport that is plus however the rest is a minus loud rooms can hear people walking down the halls even if they are trying to be quite. Beds are hard as a rock. And the rooms are really in need of a remodel. overall next time would stay home and wake up the extra two hours it takes to get tot he airport.

No way this a 3 Star Hotel
Not satisfied. This was just a quick stay during an overnight layover at SJC. Waited a while for the shuttle, actually saw other shuttle drivers swing by twice while we waited. During a speedy check-in, we found out that even the lounge closed at 10pm, so no drinks, no food, no mini bar in the room. Went to the first room, while it appeared clean is smelled musty. Front desk quickly gave us another room which smelled better, but yuck - black stains on the green carpet, obvious ceiling patches that looked unfinished, big cracks poorly repaired in the "granite" vanity in the bathroom. The bed was clean and comfortable and we had no choice but to stay but felt like I really overpaid. There are so many other nearby airport hotels for the same price. You can do better!

No way
Front desk staff was friendly. That's it, I wouldn't recommend it or stay again because it was a hotel with a great past heyday but wasn't clean or well-maintained. Scruffed hallways, toxic smelling elevator, smelly hallway carpets--the maid didn't even pick up the linens on the floor in my room, lightbulb was missing out of one lamp, had to call, bathroom fan didn't work, water pressure far too low. The staff deserve owners who care to restore this potential resort. Who gave it 3 stars? I don't trust the website anymore.

Poor value for the money. Overpriced and shabby.
This is a huge hotel with staff largely uninterested in assisting clients. We requested floor 2 but got a ground floor room at the very back of the complex. NOT to be recommended. There might be nicer rooms in Buildings 2,3, and 4. But the outlying buildings 7-8 are definitely to be avoided. Nice pool, but not well heated, so don't plan on using it in April. Rather shabby and needs to be updated. A staff member misdirected us to the airport before we left and we almost missed our flight. This was the final straw!
