Missed the Spot
1) They do not accept cash. Although I paid for my room in advance I like to have my incedentals deposit in cash. I have never had a problem with until this trip. When I asked why the concierge explained it was too comlicated to deal with getting the money back. 2) the beds were really comfy, but they have little square pillows, not regular pillows. Weird, and if you're like me and roll over a lot during teh night your head will fall off the pillow when you turn over. 3) Some of the roms overlook the eclectic garden and pool and have sliding glass doors, howver, our room was groud level and had a sliding glass door to the parking lot. 4) Urine. Yes, urine. While we were leaving the room I like to clean up a bit. I worked in hotels in the past and understand what the maids must do. I put the used sheets and towels in a litle pile and when I pulled the sheet from the bed it released a strong smell of urine and the pad on top of the matress was stained. Disgusting, and I just spent the night on it. The whole room smelled bad after that. Overall, if you have to rest your head, it has your basic, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Good for overnight stay
Stayed for 1 night to catch morning flight. Frontdesk staff was very friendly and helpful. Facility is somewhat dated. Internet was slow and intermittent. Noise from nearby rooms was annoying. Noise insulation is poor. Room caffee is good, and rate is resonable. Also conveniently near the airport.

Needs work
The staff was great. The rooms - not so much. In the first room the faucet in the shower/tub didn't work, so we moved to another room. The room was OK and the the faucet worked, however, one had to pull on it so hard you felt as if it was going to pull out of the wall. And the hair dryer and remote were missing, but the staff responded quickly. Again the people were great but the hotel is in need of some renovation.

Okay, but not great
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle to and from the airport was convenient and fast. As for the hotel itself - it was just okay. While the pool and hot tub areas were nice, the room left something to be desired. It was clean, but old. The hotel was a bit shabby overall.

Terrible for the money
Was glad to only be in town for one night. This is an amazingly overpriced hotel close to the airport and hp pavilion. We checked in with 3 people. The room was about 85 degrees when we arrived. There were 2 towels in the room. First phone call. We decided to check out "the biggest pool in San Jose" instead of wait for the towels in the stifling heat of the room. After spending about an hour at the pool we got back to no new towels. Second phone call. After all of had taken showers with two of us sharing a towel the other towels finally arrived. When we got back from the concert we were in town for and tried to turn on the lights we noticed only one lamp still had a light bulb in it! All the other lamps had no light bulb. Third call to the front desk. No breakfast, no amenities, almost $200 a night? There are a few motel 6's etc on the same road. I'll be staying at one of them next time I'm in San Jose.

Location is good
Very close from SJC, and amenities are ok. There are jaccuzi and fitness center. Each room has patio on first floow and balcony on second floow. However, we can not step in to balcony for security purpose...

Good place to stay overall
I don't know about some of the recent negative reviews. The room i got was clean and pleasant - keep in mind, his is still a budget hotel. I only had one night stay and a quick check in - staff was professional. Overall, I had a good experience for the price i paid.
