Winchester tour overnite at a great price

Very 60's décor including the ceiling fan indentation and oak wood accents. Helpful staff with complimentary breakfast and dinner : although the breakfast was served hot and personalized (omelet), the dinner was a taco. Still a great value if you don't mind dated décor and noise from a very busy street outside your window.

Nice place to stay

My wife and I chose this hotel based on location, it is less than 2 blocks from her nephew, who got married while we were there. It is on a busy street and traffic is a bit loud until after 7:30 p.m. (we had gotten a street side room) but in closing the windows and drapes it was quiet enough to sleep good. The pros are it's a small, quaint place with parking under the building so walking is reduced going from lobby to car and an older place but with nice modern amenities. Our room had a microwave, fridge, 2 burner stove top, small kitchen area and Jacuzzi tub. The free breakfast was made to order (eggs or veggie omelet) or there was waffles, cold and hot cereal and fresh fruits. Cons include a very slow elevator, coffee that tasted as if it was brewed with sea water (there are places about 3 minutes east or 5 minuets west on Stevens Creek Blvd for better coffee) and it's just off I-880 with a very large mall just down the street. Overall it was a pleasant place to spend our nights.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY FOR PRICE!

Taking a road trip from Portland to SanJose I booked a two queen bedroom. I really liked that they had a waffle maker and a fresh, hot, made to order breakfast as well. The dinner they offer is 'okay' but better than nothing. The FREE parking is great too! Great place and I recommend it to any one!

Just OK

When we first arrived in our room, our room was not done being cleaned. Bed was half-made and when a maid came in to finish, she never put a comforter on our bed.

Needs Renovation

Bed and room were clean. Staff was helpful and courteous. Most of the furniture, cabinets, walls, etc needed to be renovated. When I tried to turn on the water for the shower, the handle fell off. I could not get more than a drip out of it.

Uncomfortable

Whether it was the people lingering around the hotel (not sure if they were living in the hotel or not) or the fact that I had to watch SAP Programming on channels like Fox, I did not feel comfortable. Didn't want to spend anytime at the room.

Misleading Pics

Completely overpriced with misleading pics. Very noisy rooms located right next to busy road, this problem could be minimized with updated dual pane windows. Poor air circulation in the rooms. The Spa had stains and there appeared to be mold in the cracks. Floors were hard which made it inconvenient for me to do morning stretches. The only 2 pluses were finally falling asleep to wake up and eat free breakfast. I probably would've been better off staying at a Motel 6.

Would stay again

Where else can you get a free all you can eat breakfast and dinner -- it's not the Ritz but hey, it's clean and everyone is friendly. On the street so bring your ear plugs but if you just like regular food and don't expect a gourmet dinner, then you can't beat it. I would stay again and be thankful I saved at least $25-50 bucks a day on food alone. The biggest jacuzzi tub I have ever seen in a room!! The rooms could use some up-dating but I would definitely stay again.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Very close to Valley Fair Mall and tons of restaurants but take the Bascom or Hamilton exit off the freeway and work your way back to Steven Creek, that freeway exit is a nightmare!
