Extended Stay Deluxe San Jose - South - Edenvale

I had a Great time at this Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and spacious.

I requested a non smoking room and they gave me a smoking room. I get sick in a smokingroom. They moved me to another room but told me that they only did that because they had a cancellation. Other wise I would have been forced to stay in a smoking room. You need to find a way to make sure that when someone asks for non smoking that they get non smoking. The overall condition of the room was a 1. Cracked floor tile, patched couch and stained chairs.

We stayed for one night, we had a birthday party. The room seemed clean for the most part except there was contraceptive wrappers left under the bed and dead bees in the window. The hotel staff was helpful in find a room with a dvd player.

They first put us in a smoking room. Cigarette burns on furniture and carpet. Toilet seat puffed up due to water damage and age. Also smelled like smoke as expected. Moved us to another room. Bedding dusty and stale smelling. Elevator carpet was extremely dirty and looked un-vacuumed for over a week.

Checked in at 8pm. Reservation for 3. 1 bed, 1 sofa-bed. Was not given items (bath towel / sheets etc for second bed (sofa bed)) at desk. Pulled out sofa bed at midnight with big surprise to unmade bed, mattress only! and nobody to call at that hour! Had to use some bed linens from my bed to make sofa bed. My Bed mattress was falling apart, insides hanging out on one side. Food and dirt on floor in hallways outside room. Talked to front desk about room issues next morning and they said I should have received 3rd person items for bathing and sheets / blanket / pillow to make the sofa bed myself which I did not receive. They made no effort to compensate me. I got screwed. Bad customer service. After my bagel and orange (all they had at the breakfast bar) I left never to return and no phone call from manager which I left my information for a contact! This hotel sucked! I would recommend this hotel to my enemies!

The room was clean and larger than regular hotel rooms. The staff was very accomodating and helpful with our requests. We were close to a major grocery store and restaurants. Didn't lack anything. Only downside was the kitchen needed an additional pot or two to cook with and more cutlery. Otherwise great stay. Bring your own pillow their pillows not good.
