California dreaming at this stunning and historic San Jose resort
Lined with palm trees, this picturesque 20-acre estate was once a privately owned property, and it's easy to see the meticulous care that went into the Mediterranean Revival-style architecture back in 1905. The Dolce Hayes Mansion was carefully renovated and converted into a hotel in the 1990s and now holds 214 lavish guest rooms and 33,000 square feet of meeting space. There is also a plethora of resort facilities, including a swimming pool, spa, fitness center and two high-end restaurants.

- Bar/Lounge is Presidents Lounge located in the mansion. It features light lounge food such as appetizers, sandwiches, and burgers. Its hours are 4pm to 11pm.

Excellent family trip
I had a wonderful, relaxing family getaway. The kids had a blast in the pool. I relaxed in the jacuzzi. We had a great time. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great place to stay. Parking was hard to find.

90th bday celeb
The property is beautiful and well maintained. There seemed to be some confusion and difficulty in us trying to book a party for the sunday brunch at the restaurant. The front desk staff told us they had nothing to do with the restaurant, and we had to get the restaurant manager to resolve. Also had some difficulty with the a/c in our room, and our room was not cleaned or serviced all day saturday. The management was very apologetic and they tried their best to resolve. All in all the property is truly a rare find.

South San Jose visitor
Close to highway 85. Also close to a nice mall. Hotel was quiet. Decent fitness center and nice spa. I did not eat in the restaurants so I cannot review. Busy hotel for business meetings. Safe parking. Friendly staff. A little pricey for what it is.

Grand Hotel
I have to say that the Dolce Hayes Mansion was the veritable "find" on our trip to CA this year. By far the classiest hotel in the area, rivaling anything I've seen on the West Coast for accommodations and was incredibly, reasonably priced. The hotel itself is a maze of wonders, and each room is artfully appointed. The hosts were gracious and helpful. Though it was in the suburbs of San Jose, it was a great stopping off juncture, not too far away from anything, and worth a venturing to.

Our long weekend at San Jose
I'd booked 4 rooms on-line through 2 different websites. The hotel only shown 2 rooms. It was a good thing I had the print out of the confimation with me so the clerk made a copy of my confirmation and gave me the rooms. Overall, the ground was beautiful. The room was nice and clean. I loved it.
