Just right
Needed something easy, and cheap. This was both. Nice staff, clean room. No frills, and continental breakfast was not so great, but no matter. Sleep great.

Clarion Hotel Review
The Good : Nice big clean comfortable room wth TV, room heater, alarm clock, iron, hair dryer, coffee maker etc. The Bad : Badly fitted curtains allowed outside lighting into room. Electrical appliance noise throughout night. Eating facility a joke. The Ugly : Dirty Linen sacks unattended in elevator. Stained bed linnen.

Not much bang for the buck
The room was clean, but furniture was outdated as was the hotel in general. It's a shame that California's 3rd largest city doesn't have more to offer in terms of affordable hotels.

Cheap if thats what your into...
It looked nice from the outside. My room was clean looking but didn't feel clean. Also had a musky smell to it. Shower took about 5 minutes to heat up, when it was finally hot, it was HOT!

Great stay for a great price
This is a great value for the money. Very nicely furnished hotel, very clean and new, very comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff, delicious belgian waffles hot of the iron. The only thing missing was good food very close by. You would have to drive into downtown San Jose for that which isn't that far, but farther than I wanted to go.

The room was simple but very nice. No complaints at all. The hallway, stairs, and outside seemed less nice but not bad. Breakfast was limited ("deluxe" hardly seems to apply), but did include waffles, along with bread to toast and French toast to be heated, cold cereal, bananas, and hard boiled eggs. Desk staff was available 24-7 and were polite and helpful. All in all a good place for the money. I would certainly stay here again.

Nice and friendly good value
stayed at hotel for Sharks Hockey game but was a little distance from downtown. Not bvery good public transportation from spot but we made it work. After game we were hungy and found late night open taco stands with killer athentic carne asada tacos. Hotel also offered a decent breakfast.
