Affordable downtown San Jose hotel offers easy access to everything

An old style Hotel
This hotel is showing its age, in the styling of the lobby, rooms, decor, and in the worn out carpeting and general shabbiness of the furniture. It needs a fresh coat of paint in the hall ways, new carpets, updated bathroom facilities. There are small garden areas around the parking lot, within the hotel's entrance way. It is located along a vibrant and active part of town, close to several coffee shops, restaurants, and cross the street from the LGBT community center.

Pleasant room and good location
We arrived early and they were able to let us sign in early. When we had a question of a location of a sight we wanted to see, they printed out a map quest and a map. The room was large and the bath was handicap assessable. The breakfast was good. It was an attractive venue and it was close to expressways.

Good, Clean Little Gem
If you want a clean room in a quiet motel , stay here. It is not fancy but the rooms are well-kept and are just enough for a brief stay.

Excellent Value
Free hot breakfast, low rates, great location within walking distance of just about anything you would need on a business trip. Rooms are not great but the beds are comfortable and a jacuzzi in every room is a nice touch,

Very basic
It was a bit difficult to find. The accomodations were very basic. The room felt a bit contradictory because some features seemed like they were modern, (wooden floors, nice flat screen tv), but others were weird and outdated (the creepy, dated jacuzzi tub, the decor in general). It got quiet after the construction outside our window stopped. We were grateful it was only a one night stay...yikes. I guess if you aren't spending a lot of time in your room, it isn't so bad. The best part about our stay was the continental breakfast that was a part of our room rate deal. All in all, it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't 5-star either.

Arena hotel stay
Nice large bldg (3) stories, Pretty Landscaping, Could use upgrade on hallway carpeting. Overall stay good. Nice jacuzzi in room. Breakfast good. Convenient pharmacy right next door. Pretty old town area. Would stay again. Thx.

Car Rental

Convenient Location
The hotel is located a half mile from the HP Arena, and a mile from the Convention Center...which was great. The decor is outdated, and the rooms could use a little work, but things were clean. Our room was on the second floor and we did have some heavy footed people above us on the third floor. Not a bad place for the price we paid, about $100 a night for Friday and Saturday.

Nice location
