Boutique hotel captures the vibrant, eclectic spirit of San Francisco
Only in San Francisco would a hotel so seamlessly combine art, popular culture, a green sensibility and cozy guest rooms. Conceived in the 1990s by nine San Francisco artists, Triton, a Kimpton Hotel has the feel of ancient Rome as seen through the eyes of Salvador Dali. Imagine a bright blue and orange floral pattern in an expansive lobby mural; a shiny purple upholstered lounge next to a mosaic-framed fireplace. These and other one-of-a-kind spaces make Triton, a Kimpton Hotel a memorable choice.

  • Across the street from the Chinatown Dragon Gate

Great location, great staff!

We picked this hotel because it was dog friendly and the location. It didn't disappoint. The staff is amazing, accommodating and friendly, especially Nick. We felt right at home and our dog was treated extremely well, with a doggie bed, bones and was welcome anywhere in the hotel. We'll definitely stay here on our next trip to SF. Only drawbacks to the hotel was the rooms are small and the parking is $53/night. With that said, we weren't in our room much and the parking price seemed consistent with other hotel prices.

Totally Retro-tastic!

Great experience! Such a great atmosphere and so welcoming. The staff were awesome and always willing to help in any way (helping with luggage, taxis, and directions, etc.) Would highly recommend staying at Hotel Triton and it is located in an area with easy access to so many great places like China Town, Old Saint Mary's Cathedral, Union Square, and the Trolley Cars to Fisherman's Warf.

Enjoyable!

This was a great hotel for couples who like something a little retro and slightly hipster! Very colorful hotel. The location is great! Right across the street from Chinatown and only a cable car away from Fisherman's Wharf! It's in Union Square where all the shopping is! The staff was also wonderful! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

A Pleasant Surprize

This was our first stay. It was nicer than expected. It is a very cool place with lots of young people around. The location is very nice, just steps from the entrance to Chinatown. Union Square is just a couple blocks away. The price was right and the accomodation were quite pleasant.

good location

Hotel was located in a very convenient spot for hitting a lot of the San Francisco tourist destinations. It was accessible to the BART if you are taking mass transit from San Francisco Internation Airport into the city. Many local buses will take you to places like Fishermans Wharf very quickly. The tour buses have a stop right in front of the hotel as well since it is located at the gate of Chinatown. The hotel was a very short walk from Chinatown and all the shopping and dining venues at Union Square. The room was a little smaller than expected but hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and the lobby is very colorful yet classy. Even the room service cleaners were helpful in giving local tips on places to go.

Save yourself a cab fare and take the BART from the airport to the hotel. It's only a few blocks from the station and very fast.

Great Desk Staff

This was our first time to San Francisco. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. They were very friendly and kind. I was travleing with my 4 yr old son and 15 yr old stepsister...the area was great! We were right near Chinatown and very close to Union Square. We were able to get around the city and felt very at home in our hotel. The rooms were not very big but everything about them was nice. I would go back.

Great Location for Shoppers

My daughters and I had a great time and felt very at home during our overnight stay at Hotel Triton. The decor was very artsy and modern and the room was exceptionally clean. We felt safe and were treated well by all the staff. The Hotel Triton is in a great location with the entrance to Chinatown literally across the street and all the best shops and restaurants were well within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

If you're a shopper you're going to love this location! There are many high end boutiques that are fun to browse through which are located just a block or two away near Union Square.
