Sophisticated urban oasis with sweeping views in SoMa's Museum Row

Formerly known as the Argent, the Westin San Francisco Market Street has been rebranded over the course of the last decade. The result: a sophisticated, urban oasis in the middle of what locals call Museum row, a stretch that includes the Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts and the Contemporary Jewish Museum. Both the lobby and guest rooms are sleek and modern; art in public areas is from Roy Lichtenstein and other iconic artists. Ducca, the on-site restaurant, serves contemporary Northern Italian food and has a lively bar scene on weekends.

Highlights
  • Impressive array of public art by artists such as David Hockney and Roy Lichtenstein
  • Within walking distance of Moscone Convention Center
  • Cocktails and Italian cuisine at Ducca, the on-site restaurant
  • Complimentary guided walking tours
Rooms

Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet access are available in all rooms (fees apply). Pets welcome (fees apply).

Features

The Westin San Francisco Market Street abuts a public park that sits between San Francisco's Contemporary Jewish Museum and the Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts. The Moscone Convention Center is within walking distance, as well.

The hotel has received numerous awards, including the AAA Four-Diamond Award.

Grab a bite at Ducca, which specializes in Northern Italian cuisine and has a boisterous bar scene on weekend nights.

Valet and self parking are available (fees apply).

Dining

very nice

pleasant unexpected upgrade to king size bed after being told we could only have a queen size since we "booked on orbitz." Even though we had corner room, it was very roomy, bed was nice, bathroom is slightly small (but counter top ample), large flat screen tv. The safety lock on door was loose, but was promptly fixed when reported. Nice staff. The two chairs in room appeared dirty/stained, seemed like they were made of suade--hard to clean?

a really nice place to stay, but $30 wifi. Really!

Great service and a very convenient location. We upgraded to a bigger room for only $25/nite. Well worth ths small price difference. But, wifi is $30 for the stay. I think thats cutting one too many corners for a place like the Westin.

Good deal

For the price we really like the Westin. One of the best deals for a very nice hotel. Rooms are not huge, and bathrooms are small, but overall a good value.

Wesrin mkt st

Not bad. Fair restaurant with a good bar. Pricing inline with the area. Real close to lots of great stuff in particular SFMOMA, Yerba Buena Center, Masconi center and the heart of mkt st. Bed was comfy.

Strategic location & prompt service

One day stay on business trip. Great service, perfect location. Traveled to the hotel on the BART from SFO. Lots of outlets nearby, e.g. westfield mall. Wish the wi-fi was complementary though.

Great hotel for a conference at Moscone

We stayed here while we were at a conference at Moscone West. It was great to be just two blocks away. The hotel was excellent, with very comfortable beds, and everything we needed. My only complaint was the high prices on Wi-Fi and snacks.

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

Wi-Fi was very expensive here, at $14.95 per day, and not particularly fast either. I saved over a hundred dollars by spending $20 to enable the personal hotspot on my iPhone.
